The day was dreary and filled mist until the sky opened up, sending rain down in torrents with a vengeance.

At least the last of the snow was finally over and done with, that in and of itself was a relief. March had been a dreadful month for the weather and especially so since none of April Dancer's assignments had taken her to any locations that were sunny and warm.

The auburn haired agent clutched the collar of her bright yellow slicker, though she was wearing a matching rain hat; she lowered down her vinyl dome umbrella that was a perfect accessory to her attire, offering her better protection over her head and shoulders from the downpour.

It gave another kind of protection as well, and that was of being able to see anyone who would pose a danger to her while on her little stroll. Her new apartment wasn't that far from headquarters...she could have gotten a taxi, but the mid-westerner in her urged her to tough it out. Besides, walking helped keep her legs in shape...

She stepped off the curb; her matching yellow patent leather go-go boots nearly ankle deep in a nasty puddle when a checkered cab powered past her, drenching her in a wave of water.

"Well I never!" She huffed, leaning over and looking at her legs.

Thanks to her slicker and umbrella, she was relatively dry except for her brand new gold tights. Thankfully she had another pair in her locker at headquarters, though they were black. They would work with her outfit, still but not as nicely as the gold ones.

There was a whistle...a cat call more like it coming from behind her, and she peeked through her umbrella to see her boss, Napoleon Solo standing there looking dashingly mysterious in his black double breasted trenchcoat.

She lifted the umbrella to speak."Excuse me Mr. Solo, don't you think that's rather chauvinistic of you?"

"Chauvinistic?" Napoleon played dumb.

"Really?" April called his bluff.

"A man can't acknowledge a pretty girl?"

"There's other ways to do that, I'm sure you of all people know that?" She managed a smile.

"That's much better, "he smiled back at her, offering his arm in a very gentlemanly manner.

"Going my way?"

"If you're heading to headquarters, then I am. Now see that was much nicer than whistling at me...a girl could get used to this," she said, taking hold of his very strong arm.

"Oh there's plenty more where that came from if you'd care to find out?"

She raised the umbrella, holding so it hovered over both of them now.

"Napoleon, don't push your luck," she laughed.

"Oh so you've heard about the Solo luck then?"

"I think darling, you and I are talking about two different kinds of luck."

"You mean there's more than one kind?" He asked her, masking his joke with a serious tone of voice.

"You're for real aren't you?"

"What do you think April Dancer?" This time Napoleon's tone of voice changed, becoming more...seductive.

She came to a complete stop, reaching her hand out, testing the weather.

"Will you look at that? It stopped raining..."

She quickly lowered and closed the umbrella; taking a few steps away from Napoleon, though in truth she really wanted to stay nice and close to him...too close perhaps?

"Another time April girl, bide your time,"she thought to herself, not wanting him think she was a pushover.

"So Napoleon, you were saying about the Solo luck?"

"...is apparently not working for me today," he mumbled to himself.

This time he placed his fingers to his lips and gave a different kind of whistle, loud enough to hail a cab.

One came to a quick stop, and Solo opened the door. "Care to join me...just heading to work that is. Scout's honor."

"I'd be delighted, April nodded as she stepped into the cab, not seeing Napoleon as he stood there behind her...admiring the view.
