Teatime
Summary: Kano was simply supposed to call Takane for teatime. They both don't know how it ended up like this.
The monotonous grey walls of the peaceful room almost caved in when a boy opened the door excitedly and called out to the girl who continued sleeping, "Takane-chaaaan~"
The response was... Silence.
"Ta-ka-ne-chaaan~" the boy's voice was amused and almost teasing as it cheered once again, this time deliberately slower than the first.
However, the response this time around was more silence.
"Fine," there was a sound of shifting here and there and the ever familiar creepy yet amused voice continued, "Ene-chan."
Takane's eyes opened widely and without helping it, offhandedly smacked the younger boy away from her. Letting out a yawn and a twitch, she muttered to the mess of blond hair in the floor next to her bed, "Why are you here Kano?"
"Geez," the boy shook his pants as he stood up to be in a more dignified state. His amused, glinting eyes met with Takane's sleepy red ones as he commented out loud, "You are such a boy, Takane-chan."
Takane visibly twitched as a vein popped out in her forehead and she expertly gave the deceiver a kick to the shin. She sleepily growled, "Back off."
"I can't do that, Takane-chan~" Kano unconsciously let out a chuckle as he continued to stare at the older girl.
"What the hell is your problem?" Takane hissed in her just woke up state. She glared at him as she continued, "Since I've came here, you've been acting like a little leech and keep on hanging around me every single time-"
"I can't help it." Kano's statement cut her off. She was about to scold him at that but faltered when she met his solemn expression. The boy continued, this time looking at a blank spot on the wall, "You remind me so much of nee-chan."
"I really don't see our similarities," Takane drawled on before she gave a forfeiting sigh as she added, "But whatever."
In her mind, she still can't get over the definite sister-complex of the blond, catlike boy but she decided to keep quiet about it. Everyone has enough on their plate at the moment and she wasn't so inconsiderate to fight with one of them. But still, saying 'Takane-chan, Takane-chan' every single time was already getting on her nerves. Even Haruka wasn't that annoying - then again, it's not like the girl can even be annoyed with him.
Trailing her thoughts to that, she laid back down on her bed and after another yawn, she asked, "So what's the problem this time around?"
"Ah, Takane-chan," Kano looked at her with a grin, "Mary asked me to call you for teatime."
"...Why haven't you said that in the first place?" Takane said exasperatedly as she shooed him out of the room to get properly dressed.
A/N: I am so close to shipping TakaKano HAHAHAHA oh gods. But still, HaruTaka forever. These two are pretty cute together, though. I mean what with Kano's sister complex-*shot*.
