Hi, this is fairieimp, your author.
I apologize for being so late with bringing something new out, but my muses have decided to take a long vacation. Here's a small something in the mean time.
The song "One More Day" belongs to Diamond Rio and Sailor Moon (even though there isnt any reference) belongs to Nako Takeuchi.
Enjoy!

Last night I had a crazy dream
A wish was granted just for me
It could be for anything
I didn't ask for money
Or a mansion in Malibu
I simply wished, for one more day with you
It had been several years since he had died; her one and only true love. It had been hard on her and she still struggled to make it through every single day. She just wished that she could go back and tell him to stay with her rather than go on the call.
One more day
One more time
One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied
But then again
I know what it would do
Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you
It always hurt her to think about why he always had to go and be the hero. She guessed that was in his nature as a firefighter, but she still never liked it. She wondered why it had to be him, the one with the new wife and the daughter that was due in a month. His daughter looked just like him; sparkling green eyes and curly blonde hair.
First thing I'd do, is pray for time to crawl
Then I'd unplug the telephone
And keep the TV off
I'd hold you every second
Say a million I love yous
That's what I'd do, with one more day with you
They say that "only the good die young," she heard that was a lie one time, but in her world it rang all too true. Her friends were there for her when it happened. She can still remember the call she got – she shuddered to even recall the words – the "I'm so sorry, but your husband…." Her daughter would never get to know her father. They would never get to share the life together that they swore to each other at that alter.
One more day
One more time
One more sunset, maybe I'd be satisfied
But then again
I know what it would do
Leave me wishing still, for one more day with you
She sits back and watches as her best friends get to spend their lives with their loves, their husbands. Even through all the pain and anguish, she forces smiles and plays with her daughter and her friends' children. She just wishes that he was still with her and right beside her, playing with their daughter, if only for a day.
Leave me wishing still, for one more day
Leave me wishing still, for one more day
