Faye woke up(tired as always) next to the person she loved most in the world, Jake Armstrong. He turned his head to the side ever so slightly so he could see her. She smiled. "morning" he said and leaned in to kiss her and of course she kissed back willingly. When he pulled away, she looked at him lovingly. "morning" she replied sleepily. She then realised that she was still wrapped in his arms but she didn't mind , she liked it, being so close to him.
So she just laid her head on his were silent for a minute or so and then jake spoke up."you know I love you right?" he asked. "of course" she said without moving her head.
But he simply moved her chin up so his eyes met hers. "no Faye, I'm serious" he said, his voice was more serious was rare for Faye to see this side of him these days.
"jake" she said with worry in her voice.
Jake didn't say anything.
"jake come on say something" she said.
"faye, I ... I mean um .. I can't..um"jake stuttered.
This was a side of him, faye had never seen or even expected to see.
"jake come on what's wrong, you can tell me you know, I am your girlfriend" she said and looked into his eyes. She leaned in to kiss him but he pulled away.
"Jake,what the hell" she asked, she didn't know what to think.
He remained silent and looked at her with a face that was practically impossible to read.
"listen jake, I think I should go" she said and started to get out of bed.
"Faye" he said.
She turned around and saw that jake was genuinely upset about something and she was going to find out what.
She immediately turned around and got back into bed with him, resuming her previous position.
"jake please tell me, you'll have me worried sick otherwise" she said practically begging him.
He just smiled at her.
"what?" she asked but she didn't hesitate to smile back at him.
"believe me Faye, that was the last thing I wanted to do" he said, it looked like he had returned to normal now, which reassured Faye dramatically.
"so what has been worrying you" she said.
She was surprised when he so openly gave her the answer.
"Faye , you deserve so much better than me and yet you stay with me without giving other guys a second glance" jake said.
"Jake don't" she said sympathetically.
"no Faye, I love you and I worry about losing you especially when I see other guys looking at you and probably asking themselves why a girl like you is with a guy like me" he said it all in one breath.
"Jake, stop it because I don't believe any of that even for a your the only be I want to be with, you and only ?" she said looking directly into those big green eyes she loved so much.
He nodded.
"good" she said.
She leaned into kiss him and the kiss quickly became something more and before she knew it, jake was on top of her kissing her passionately.
"so" she said between her rapid breathing and jake kissing every bit of her, he could reach.
"feel better now?" she asked with a smirk.
"much thanks" he said.
They didn't speak after the best part was Faye knew they didn't need to, she knew that this was the perfect moment. She then knew instantly that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Jake Armstrong.
