Disclaimer: I don't own anything. I give my son credit for helping me come up with this idea. He was colouring one day and it made me think of Ron.

For Leesha. I miss you!

"Hey, Gin? Where's Harry?" Ron looked around the Burrow, but did not see his best friend. His wife promised Harry would be there.

"Harry's catching bad guys again," Ginny explained.

"Another Auror Mission?" Ron frowned and glanced at his wife. When she didn't say anything, he continued.

"Thought you said I wouldn't be the only guy here." He pouted.

"I thought Harry was going to be here." Hermione shrugged and walked away to help her inlaws finish getting the gifts in order.

"Harry was to come, but got called off last minute," Ginny said to her brother.

"Great. I'm the only bloke here." He sulked, and crossed his arms and frowned.

"No, dad's here with mum," Ginny pointed out as the two stared in the direction of their parents.

"Dad came because mum made him," Ron said.

"Ron, you can open the first present from dad," Hermione smiled as all eyes turned on Ron. His face automatically went as red as his hair.

"I think you should open this one Hermione," Ron said giving her a curious look. She had a twinkle in her eye, that made Ron a little suspicious of what the gift might be.

Ron sat down next to his very pregnant wife. She handed him the baby blue box and waited for him to open it.

"Go on then," Ginny encouraged with a smile.

Ron tore open the box. Inside lay a book with parchment. On the parchment was all kinds of colour-less drawings of animals. He held up a small box of what looked like candles. He looked at Hermione confused. She started to laugh as he took out a red crayon.

"What is this?" he asked. Hermione's mum started to laugh as well. Her mum and dad sat down next to Hermione for they were still amazed with being in a wizard house.

"Ron, they're called crayons and a colouring book," she stated happily.

"What do you do with them?" He held up the crayon to examine it. His eyes grew a little wider as he stared at the strange object.

"You put the crayon on the parchment and colour the picture with out going through the thick black lines. Like this." She borrowed the book and crayon and started to colour. His eyes grew buggeyed wide as he stared in amazement. The red from the crayon colored red on the paper.

"What is this kind of magic?" he said enthusiastically. He took the crayons and box and sat down at the table. He picked a picture of a lion and started to colour it red.

"Ron, lions are brown," his father said sitting down next to Ron.

"Dad, I can colour this one. You colour the monkey brown." Ron smiled as he pointed to the picture next to the lion. Arthor took the brown crayon, examined it, and smiled at Ron. They grinned as they got to work colouring completely ignoring the rest of the party.

The two sat quietly colouring in the book while the women cooed and 'awed' at the baby shower. Soon, Hermione came over to the pair who sat like little toddlers.

"Time to go, Ronald," Hermione said in a motherly tone.

"I don't want to go home. I want to stay here and colour," Ron pouted.

"Not home, to the hospital. It's time, Ronald. My water broke," Hermione exclaimed. Ron's eyes were puzzled for a moment, and then grew wide in understanding.

"Ohhh! Dad, don't forget the crayons," he said excitedly.

"Why?" Arthur asked.

"Who knows how long we'll be there, we need to be occupied!"

The little Weasley family gathered everything they needed for the hospital. Ron glanced at his wife.

"Soon we will get to meet Hugo. I love you, Hermione," he said as he took her arm.

"I love you too, Ron."
