I Quit
My name is Josephine9, a beginner trying to figure out how to get around this place. I had a conversation with the cook in the castle who was worried about being fired. He needed some ingredients, easy ones requiring no killing, so I thought I would help him out. I went to get the large egg first. When I arrived at the chicken area, people were there killing chickens. If I get too close, will they kill me too? I saw the egg, grabbed it, and ran away (after accidentally first grabbing a dead chicken).
Next, I needed flour. I got lost along the way. Some random person asked me for water; get your own water. When I finally found the mill, I found out that I actually had to make the flour from the wheat, which I had to get from the fields myself. Now I was annoyed. Helping this guy out is becoming way more time consuming than I wanted. After a short while, I had the flour. Now on to find some milk.
I happened to see some cows near the mill, so I headed over to the man who looked to be in charge. I think his name was Fred. Fred didn't have any milk, but he had buckets of water. I sold him one of the dead chickens and bought the bucket. I dumped out the water and went to find a cow. Again, I saw senseless acts of animal cruelty as people were brutally murdering cows. I found the one cow everyone left alone and milked it.
When I returned to the castle, I proudly handed over all of the items I had collected only to find out that the milk wasn't good enough. I quit. Find your own milk. I actually don't care if you get fired; I was only trying to be nice. Why can't there be a quest devoted to shopping for the perfect outfit?
