I Though We Had Something Special
"Derek!" said Casey furiously in the kitchen.
"Yes?" said Derek smiling watching TV in his chair.
"Why and how?" said Casey in confusion holding up an apple.
"What do you mean?" said Derek trying not to laugh.
Casey squishes the apple in her hand to show that it's hollow.
"Oh well you can't spoil this day. Today is the day I am interviewed by the principal to be the new principals assistant. Besides I'll just have eggs." said Casey cheerfully.
"Well gosh darn it. I want to be the new principals assistant. Oh man, that just makes my day" said Derek sarcastically.
Casey walks back into the kitchen while Derek sits back in his chair, turns the TV to mute and closes his eyes.
"Derek!" said Casey, while Derek laughs to himself.
Edwin walks down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"What happened?" said Edwin
"Ask Derek" said Casey.
Edwin walks back into the living room.
"What happened?" said Edwin to Derek
Derek tosses him a bag of egg yokes and it splashes all over Edwin.
Derek laughs.
"Hey Sam" said Derek as Sam walked in the door
"Hey Derek" said Sam looking at the game on TV
"Hey Derek I do not understand why you have to be a jerk some-
Said Casey as she walked through the kitchen doors and spotted Sam
Oh um hi Sam" awkwardly.
"K I'll be back in one second I have to go get my backpack, it's in my room." Said Derek as he got up from his chair and walked upstairs.
"Well how the weather" said Casey as she thought what a dumb question it was.
"It's good said Sam sadly.
Casey… why DID you break up with me? This is stupid we shouldn't do this to each other. It was bad enough the first time."
"I was caught up with homework and it just wasn't the time for a relationship" said Casey trying to lie convincingly.
"Tell me the real reason." Said Sam
Casey opened her mouth as to talk right when Derek came down the stairs with his backpack.
"Let's go" said Derek
"Right, well let's go." Said Casey relieved.
