A/N As soon as the idea was floated of Flynn's daughter getting married I wrote three fics around the idea. I only ever posted one of them, but I ran across this one while looking for something else. It's more of a ficlet than a fic.

Dearly Beloved

He was so accustomed to sleeping alone that the slight shifting of the mattress as she rose was enough to wake him. The room was dark. The only light came from the bit of moonlight coming through the window.

"Sharon?"

"Don't get up."

His mind groggy, he watched her step around wrapped boxes picking through their discarded articles of clothing to find her own. "Where are you going?"

"I need to get home." Her voice was off.

"Right. I'll drive you."

"Don't get up." She repeated. "There's a cab stand right outside of the hotel."

There it was again. His mind starting to clear a bit, he placed what was wrong with her voice. "Are you crying?"

She didn't say anything. She just kept collecting her clothes.

"Come off it! It wasn't that bad!"

That at least got a laugh out of her. "No, it wasn't. But I need to get home."

"You can't leave like this." Approaching her, he again he tried to diffuse the situation with humor. "A crying woman leaving my hotel room in the middle of the night? It's not good for my reputation."

"I don't usually do this." She confessed.

Touching her cheek, he found it moist as he had expected. "I didn't think you did."

"I'm married."

"I know."

The silent tears seemed somehow worse than if she just let them out. As she finally let out a slightly audible sob, Flynn wrapped his arms around her. Leading her back to the bed to sit, he held her while she cried.

The day had been a roller coaster of emotions. The case they had caught had been a rough one with an even rougher ending. The wedding on the other hand ... that had been everything he had dared to hope for and more. At one point during the ceremony, he had caught Sharon tearing up. He would have called her out for getting so emotional about the wedding of two people she had yet to actually even meet, but he had been too busy himself full out ugly crying.

On her way out of the reception to her honeymoon, Nicole has asked him to retrieve all the gifts that had been stored in the room the girls had used to get ready. Sharon had gone upstairs with him to the bridal suite to help.

The door hasn't even fully closed behind them before they began hurriedly pulling off each others clothes.

Andy rubbed circles on her back until she quieted down. He pressed a chaste kiss to the top of her head. "Come on. Let's get dressed and I'll drive you home."

It went without saying that what happened here would go unmentioned.
