A crystal orb
Shone through her eyes
Like the moon above
In the velvet skies
She blinked away
The falling tears;
She said the words
That ruined her years
He fell from Heaven
He screamed her name
Then she awoke
Heart seared with pain
And when she woke
She hit her knees,
"Goblin King, Goblin King,
Take me please."
He came to her
In shape of an owl
He sat on her shoulder
She gave him a scowl
"I love you, you prat,"
She said to the bird,
"Your eyes are my refuge,
Your arms are my sword."
He nibbled her ear
And he flew out of sight
She wrapped herself up
In a blanket of spite
Sarah's pride failed her
As she enveloped in pain
She looked out the window
As it started to rain
And there, by her side,
Was the great Goblin King
He picked up the girl
And held her to him
"Oh, darling," said Jareth,
"Oh my, you look dead."
He laid her against him
Atop the big bed.
She held herself to him
As she quietly sobbed
He silently pet her
And his ego, she'd robbed
She knew he was King,
And she knew he was great
But right at that moment
He was her mate
She kissed his chest,
He kissed her head
And slowly but surely,
They both were undead.
