Unexpected Encounters
Jace laid his head against the window. Snow, all it does is snow. Since he's turn 18 him and his parabati Alec have been sent to Canada for training. Clary, his girlfriend, and Simon are somewhere in California. Simon the Daylighter vampire, in one of the most sunniest places. Surprised he hasn't fried yet, after all of these years.
Things are usually interesting, but when Alec spends most of his time with his boyfriend. Mutant snowmen are welcome anytime. Jace glanced at the front yard of destroyed targets from last night. It takes longer to build the things out of snow than it does destroying them.
A shadow hovered at the doorframe "Why are you sneaking around Alec?"
"I was looking for you." Alec said hesitantly
"Here I am, you found me." Jace said in a bored voice. Alec didn't respond, making Jace look over his shoulder at his brother. "You look different; did you do something to your hair?" Jace said trying to figure out what he wanted to he can go back to pondering his lonely thoughts.
Alec moved closer. He was wearing a black fitted jacket and dark skinny jeans. His black ink hair cut longer on top and cut short on the sides. Jace couldn't place his friend's expression, it was blank but Alec's body language was on alert. Jace honed in on his stance and shuffled over to his parabati. Alec placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's good to see you." Alec said, sincerity full in his voice.
"I just saw you last night, I didn't go anywhere."
Alec moved away and sat down in the chair "I havn't seen you in 200 years Jace. I came to find you to offer you a quest. "
"You even talk funny, at least tell me the rules of the game before we start."
Alec stared at him with a deadpan look. "The portal will close in five minutes, I don't have much time. If you want to come with me, great, If not I understand. 200 years from now, where I am from, there is a guy who, like valentine, is taking over the mundane world. The problem is we could use a little more Shadowhunter help, specifically someone with extra angel blood and no offense but I would choose you over Clary at my back. Plus you would kill me if something would happen to her."
"Fair enough, let's go."
"No resistance, aren't you aware I could be a demon in disguise?
Jace shrugged. "I'm bored and we are in a sacred zone here. Hardly a place for a demon."
"You should send a quick message to everyone or they will go crazy if you randomly disappear. My young self included."
Jace raced to the desk and quickly wrote a note in his spiral handwriting. "You look pretty good for being 201 years my senior. Is there something you need to tell me Alec?"
"Besides the fact that Magnus and I are half mortal? Probably."
