A/N: So here is the companion piece to the fic You Go On, I'll Catch Up. This fic is also based on the events of 4x12 unchained but this fic is RoyxThea because i can't just not write something for them with all the feels in the episode.

Also this was written shortly after the episode 4x12 unchained was aired, and so any liberties i took in writing this is because i didn't know at the time what was going to happen.

"If I could do it all again, I'd do it with you"

He sits on the edge of her bed, and he notices right away how tired she is, she looks at him and smiles. She's excited to see him, and wonders what he's doing back in star city. He tells her about the calculator, and she asks if he's okay. It breaks his heart to see her like this, and he doesn't want to lose her, but in this moment, it's seems inevitable that he's going to, and he feels his heart break even more at the thought of it. She was going to say something else but then she starts coughing, and then she can't breathe…

"The worst thing about loving someone is the day you lose them."

He comes back later that night and this time she's out laying on the couch buried in blankets. She smiles at him when she sees him. She sits upright making room on the couch so he can sit down across from her, and he does. He takes her hands in his and he tells her that he would stay if she wants him too, that all she would have to do is ask and he would give everything up for her. She smiles, and says no she doesn't want him to. She says if he stayed the police would be after him and also her. She looks at him and smiles sadly, and then she asks if he can do something for her.

"Do something for me"

"Anything"

She asks him to live his life. She wants him to find a nice girl, fall in love, get married, and even have kids someday. He does want to do that at some point in his life, he wanted to do all of that with her, and she wishes she could do all of that with him too, but unfortunately life doesn't work like that. Especially, not today or in this moment. He realizes that she's not only asking him to live his life, but she was also asking for him to let her go. He doesn't think he can, he doesn't want to, and he knows he's not ready to. The one thing he knows for sure is that he doesn't want to live in a world that she's not in. She smiles at him and says that she loves him, and he tells her he loves her too.

"I love you Roy Harper"

"I love you Thea Queen"

He wishes he could stay with her forever, and she does too. She's right though, he can't. It breaks his heart, but he knows he has to go, and she seems to know it already as she looks at him with knowing eyes and a tired smile. He hugs her and she hugs him back. After a few moments he lets go, and then stands up and she's still smiling at him. He makes his way to the door and opens it. He looks back at her and she smiles, and then he turns and walks out the door and into the hallway, the door shutting behind him. Standing alone in the hallway he fights back tears, because he doesn't want to live in a world that she's not part of. As he walks down the hall he thinks back on his conversation with her, and how if he could do everything again, he would do it with her. He sees her clear as day in his head, still as beautiful as ever, and she smiles.

"Me too"
