You let me in,

Then shut me out.

I was there for you,

Always by your side,

Then you shut me out.

My shoulder was yours,

For a couple blissful moons,

Yet now I am alone.

Because you shut me out.

You were grateful,

For the love I gave,

But did you ever feel the same?

Obviously not, because you shut me out.

Now I watch you,

Tail intertwined with him,

Blind to his faults,

Angry.

Because I tried to protect you.

Squirrelflight, my love,

Couldn't you see our destiny?

But it's too late now.

Because you shut me out.
