A long time ago...

Before life began, before the world had form, three sisters, Din, the Goddess of Power, Nayru, the Goddess of Wisdom and Farore, the Goddess of Courage, encountered a void, an empty place where nothing existed, merely an expanse of nothingness. And in this nothingness they created a place that mirrored their desires.

Din was a fiery red haired woman full of determination and passion. She descended from the heavens, To create the land and cultivate the earth. Din commanded her powers forcefully, and in a violent passion made treacherous mountains, deep valleys, and flat plains., constantly reshaping the planet to her liking. Din had shaped the world. A place to mirror her desires

Nayru was the middle and wisest of the sisters. Nayru was a serene woman with benevolent blue eyes, and beautiful blue hair flowed freely as the gentle breeze that gave the essence to mirror her desires. As the breeze flowed over the land the world began to fill with an unquenchable light. Nayru had shaped the world with the light of order.

Farore was the youngest and the kindest of the three sisters. Clad in a simple green Farore gave shape to her desire a seed. Slowly her gift was given root it spread across the land as green washed over the red land, giving life.

Thus ends the story of the goddess' creation. But by creating this world only to mirror what they desired cursed this world in permanent imbalance. Being done, the goddesses decided to leave, but before they did the realized their mistake and left three gifts. Din with her power gave her gift, a fragment of her power that represented the combined forces of her and her sisters: the triforce. Nayru with her power gave a gift of another realm and as a key to this realm a sword. Farore the last to leave gave a gift yet to come. Two people.

But the different races of Hyrule not understanding gave the Goddesses perfection that not even they commanded.

(A/N: I wish some one would write a story where Link was a girl and Zelda a guy in OOT if there is one I haven't seen it yet.)
