Hey all, thanks so much for taking the time to read this. First of all, I'd like to state that this is my first fan fic. I have been thinking this storyline through, and it seems great to me. I don't like to do journey fics, I prefer doing "odd" ones, I guess. I don't really have much experience. This originally started as a script fic, but I have to re-type everything in order to meet the requirements of this site. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this.

We Pokémon have lived under them long enough. It is finally our time.

"As soon as they realized that they were meant for greater things, my creations revolted."

"Should we stop them?"

"No; let them choose their own destiny for once."

It is night. The moon burns away at the eyes of those who peer into its direction. A hallway, carved in stone with a glass floor, with two ominous voices fill this Hall of Origin. Arceus, creator of all Pokémon, valiantly, but hesitantly, slid from the shadows that once surrounded it.

"I am minimizing my influence on them. Soon, if not by now, they will realize that humans are inferior. I just hope that doesn't go to their heads." Arceus peers out the window at the moon. "Doesn't it look so perfect?"

"Yes, yes it does." An Absol appears, enveloped in darkness with its face highlighted by the bright silver orb of a moon.

"How I wish everything could be as perfect as the moon." Arceus sighs. "Even a god like me can't make everything perfect. I admit there is a small problem with my creations, but I have faith in a few. Hopefully there are a few good ones out there."

"My lord, I have come with a message," says the distressed Absol. "Pokémon have created factions and have begun warring over supremacy over each other. They have divided into Land, Air, and Sea. Each faction fights resorts to violence and fights each other, destroys cities and small towns, and even fight and kill humans."

"Well, if this is what my world has become, then I must watch all of my creations and humans crumble with it. Their society has been diminished, and it will rise up again. I hope." Arceus continued to stare amazingly at the moon. It was perhaps the greatest creation of all.

"There is a bit of good news," Absol explained. "A small group of Pokémon established a resistance group called the Union. They fight for goodness and truth, and seem to be protecting humans. I don't quite understand why they fight on their side."

Arceus, being that curiosity broke its "Be that as it may, they are outnumbered if you say they are small. Who is their leader?"

Absol hesitates a bit, then answers. "Mew."

"Mew!?" Arceus appears stunned for a moment, and then turns to the window again to admire the moon; a pearl so bright and round that seemed to be lost in a sea of infinite black. The contrast seemed to bemuse the Pokémon god himself. A long, ceaseless pause followed, only to cause Absol to address Arceus once more.

"My Lord?"

Arceus broke from his trance, dazed and confused. "Yes. You are free to go. Keep investigating this new team. Report back if you find anything."

Absol nods. "Understood."

And as quick as he came, the moonlit messenger seemed to dash off into the night sky as if it evaporated into thin air.

Once more, the almighty god peered out into the deep black sky. The moon was hiding behind a thick, ominous cloud.

"What has become of my world?"
