Why is it so hard?

He stared at the beautiful girl and looked into her loving and caring light brown eyes. She looked back at him into his caring eyes. He always seemed to be this way toward her. They had fallen in love the two were to be wed in holy matrimony in a few years. Their eyes locked gaze his magnificent aqua teal green eyes to her cinnamon brown eyes. Anyone who saw them could clearly tell they were in deep love. The small genuine smile the snowy white haired adolescent had given to the girl with beautiful mid length brown hair and a beautiful smile were more than words.
They were to be wed in just a few years although, destiny or shall we say fate was pulling the two teenagers apart.
The two adolescents had never questioned their marriage because they knew one simple thing they had loved the other … Only one small complication… They hadn't known if the other had felt the strong compassion, and lovingness they did for the other. To put it simple it was a simple question. 'Do you know how much I love you?' and the answer was simple 'No'.
The two held each others hands compassionately. They locked gaze once more with their eyes. The girl had tears forming at her eyes and they silently slid down her cheeks. The snowy white haired boy lifted his hands and his hand gracefully swept the tear drops on her cheeks.
"Sorry…" the snowy white haired boy said to the girl as he embraced her and held her as tight as if he never wanted to leave her side which was true.
He was to be leaving on a trip to America . The girl could not follow. No matter how much she had longed to. He felt tears forming in his own eyes put quickly wiped them off to leave them unnoticed. The two locked gaze for a simple amount of moments feeling as if seconds turned to hours and hours turned to years, but of course that was not true. It had only been a few minutes and he'd be leaving shortly.
The snowy white haired boy not caring now that tears were dripping down his cheeks rapidly had said to the girl as he looked at her directly and his gaze was only to her "I'm leaving, but … When I come back…We can be together again and nobody would ever tell us that we weren't to be wed and we will live together if it costs me my life."
"Hurry up boy !" The father shouted to his son. "The sooner we leave, then the sooner we will begin our new life in America and we'll come back in a few years."
The snowy white haired boy held the girls hands and she could feel something cold and petite in between his and hers hands. "Good bye …Momo.." He had murmured turning his back on hers slowly and the tears be still seen in his eyes. He had promised this day he'd be back for her.
She watched solemnly as her love walk away. Her mouth trying to move. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't. Why was it so hard…so hard to say goodbye..? Tears formed in her eyes once more, but this time there was no loving man next to her to tell her everything will be okay.
She looked down at the thing she was clutching her hands that the boy had given her. It was a small petite golden heart shaped locket. Inside was in graved words.
I'll be back..

Years had passed and she still couldn't find to say the simple words to him even if he were near or not. She could never say to him 'Goodbye'.
With the years passing by he never came back.
