From the team who brought you StevenBomb, StevenBomb 2.0, and the blaffing crossover Say Uncle, comes yet another StevenBomb even though you probably want to see episodes in a normal schedule again.

Week of Sardonyx!

Watch as the Crystal Gems discover a walking triangle-head going by Peridot tries to communicate with the homeworld to get help from Yellow Diamond. They go to the communications hub, and Pearl and Garnet decide the one thing to do: form a giant food-headed fusion known as Sardonyx, who has an ego far bigger than herself.

However, once the hub is repaired again and again, and Sardonyx is formed again and again, the truth eventually comes to light: Pearl rebuilt the hub to fuse with Garnet some more time.

Why does this seem familiar?

And once the truth comes out, Garnet and Amethyst form a muscular gem that looks like what would happen if Amethyst grew into a giant and did steroids. Then, once she destroys the hub, it cuts to the house, where Garnet doesn't talk to Pearl.

And the episode ends there.

Geez, that's kind of a downer.

Then, in the next episode, get ready for feels as Fusion Rock defuses into her components: a small, highly irritable red dwarf by the name of Ruby, and a particularly cool-headed, ladylike Gem that dresses like the average fairytale princess named Sapphire.

With their elemental powers going haywire due to the situation, they will pretty much ruin the fun for Greg and Steven, but you won't care because you've been wanting to see them return for a long time.

Eventually, they reconcile once their arguing causes Steven to murder an innocent plate, and then they return back home, where the trouble lessens when Garnet finally talks to Pearl.

And then, in a rather low-tone middle part, Steven and Amethyst meet Onion and his mother, who is an old friend of Amethyst.

Not much happens here that actually affects the plot, so let's move on.

In the penultimate episode, Steven and a mailman decide to put on a play about Beach City's history.

I'm sure this has even less to do with the plot than the last episode. Skip!

Then, in the final episode, watch as the team try to stop Peridot from reconstructing the warp pad, and fail to catch her.

Then, see them follow her into a spaceship, and get trapped in it.

And afterwards, watch Garnet and Pearl come to terms after the former tells the latter what should have been said milleniums ago. They form Sardonyx, who turns her weapon into a drill somehow, and then she leaves to be never seen again.

But before they capture Peridot, she escape using her finger-copter, acting like a Saturday Morning Cartoon villain all the way. Then, after only getting her foot, they decide to call it a day.

Huh, this had less Sardonyx than I anticipated.

So why do they hype this as the week of sardonyx even though she only appears in two episodes and she only plays a major role in one? Being mentioned doesn't really count as playing an important role, guys.
