"I think I have to go home Mark. I have an early day tomorrow." Olivia Benson said to the dark haired man sitting across the table from her. He reached out for her hand but she quickly pulled away.

"Uh… Mark. I.. this isn't working out for me."

"What do you mean this isn't working out for you? Is there someone else?" he replied a bit short.

""No.. um I seriously have to go. .thanks for dinner." She got up from the table.

"Olivia, wait. Don't I at least get an explanation?" But she was already walking out the door into the cold night.

She muttered to herself. "Yeah Mark, there is someone else." A taxi pulled up beside her and she got in.

"Where to lady?"

She considered this for a moment. "Um…34 West Park."

"Elliot dinner is almost ready." Casey called from the kitchen. Elliot walked in the kitchen and reached for a spoon to sample the sauce that she was boiling on the stove. She slapped his hand away playfully.

"Hey mister. Stay out of the kitchen."

He smiled at her and leaned over and kissed her gently. "Sorry hon."

"Mmm, dinner will be ready in a few. Go set the table."

Elliot disappeared into the living room whistling happily. Casey smiled. He was so cute and sweet, everything she had always wanted in a man. Plus he knew about her job and the horrors that they see everyday, and he listened and understood her.

She turned off the stove and poured the sauce over the pasta and grabbed two wine glasses and walked into the living room."Dinner is served." She laughed. "Now no making fun of my cooking okay."He smiled that adorable smile of his and reached out for the wine glasses and opened a bottle of wine. Casey sat the pasta down on the coffee table and reached out for her glass and took a sip.

"I can't believe we have been together for three months." She told him.

Elliot laughed. "I can't believe we have been able to hide it for three months. I mean do you know how hard it is to come into your office and want to be alone with you. I've thought about telling Liv to go get some coffee while you and I discuss a case." He smirked and gave her a once-over.

Casey choked on her wine. "Elliot Stabler, I can't believe you would tell your partner to get out while we have sex!"

"Well I wasn't going to tell her that Case." He laughed hysterically. "Somehow I don't think she would react well to the news of you and I together."

"Oh yeah why do you say that?"

He knew that Olivia had feelings for him. It was obvious. He didn't tell Casey though. The last thing he wanted to do was come between there friendship. "Just that.. I don't know. Let's eat."

"I've got a better idea. We can reheat the food later."

Elliot looked puzzled but got the idea when she climbed into his lap and began unbuttoning his shirt."Oh, heh, now I get the idea." He kissed her as they fell back on the couch.

Olivia got out of the cab and paid the driver. She looked up into Elliot's apartment and saw that the lights were still on."Good. He's home." She opened the door and began to walk up the steps to Elliot's apartment rehearsing what she was going to say when he opened the door. "Elliot I was a fool to deny my feelings for this long. I've loved you for the last seven years, ever since we first met. Even when you were with Kathy. That's why none of the guys I date ever work out, their not you. I want to be with you Elliot, always and forever."She took a deep breath and knocked on the door to 3-C. She could hear soft music coming from inside."Hmm, that's weird. Elliot isn't the type to listen to that kind of music."

"There's someone at the door Casey." She was unbuttoning his pants and laughing.

"And? You're mine tonight Stabler." She kissed his neck. He put his hands up.

"I.. what if it's one of my kids?"

Casey sighed deeply and climbed off his lap. "Fine. But next time tell them to call first."

"Don't go anywhere babe." He stood up and halfway buttoned his shirt. The knocking persisted. He shouted. "Alright already. I'm coming." He opened the door halfway and was shocked to see Olivia standing there.

"Elliot I…"He coughed loud enough for Casey to hear. "Olivia, what..what are you doing here!"

"Did.. I come at a bad time?"

She was a bit taken aback by his appearance. I mean surely he was alone, wasn't he?

"Um.."

"Elliot spit it out." She replied a bit harsh. She looked him up and down one time and had a sudden realization. "You're not alone are you?"

He tried to speak before a crash was heard in the kitchen. Casey hollered "damnit". Elliot looked like a deer in headlights. Olivia pushed the door open all the way and was shocked to see her best friend standing half-naked in Elliot's living room.

"Um, heh, hi Casey." She said with a smirk with her eyes wide.

"Olivia..we can explain…" Casey tried. Olivia laughed.

"No, hey I don't need any explanations. I'm.. wow you guys I am soo happy for you! I mean I can't think of two people who deserve to be together more than the two of you. I'm soo sorry for interrupting what looks to be a very special evening…" she replied bitterly and with sarcasm.

"Olivia wait if you will let me explain…" Elliot reached out to grab her before she walked out the door. Olivia put her hands up out of reach.

"No! Elliot. Just…no." she pushed past him and walked out the door and down the steps.

Casey sighed. "well, that went well." Elliot looked at her. "I.. I gotta stop her."

He ran down the steps barefoot trying to catch Olivia before she got into a cab. He threw open the door, and screamed. "Olivia!" She was nowhere in sight. "Damnit!" he slammed the door in frustration and walked back up to his apartment. Casey was already dressed when he got up there.

"Where ya going?" he asked with confusion.

"Elliot, I. I think it would be better if I slept at home tonight. I'll see you tomorrow." She kissed him quickly on the cheek and grabbed her coat.

"Casey wait? What the hell is going on here?"

She replied quietly. "I don't know El you tell me."

He threw his hands up in frustration. "What do you want me to say?"

"Nothing Elliot, you've said it all. Bye." She left. Elliot sat back on the couch and shook his head. "damnit, what happens now?"

Olivia went home that night in total shock. She felt betrayed and hurt. How dare they get together behind her back. Hell who was she fooling, she didn't care if it was behind her back or if she knew about it, she hated the thought of the two of them together. She, not Casey, belonged with Elliot. It was Olivia who had been there for him through everything, had been a shoulder to cry on when Kathy filed for divorce, had visited him in the hospital when he got shot, Casey didn't bother to even show up then. She wondered how long this had been going on as she reached into the refrigerator and pulled out a beer and took a long swig on the bottle.

"To hell with both of them." She sat down on her couch and flipped on the tv, a rerun of Oz was on. "Oh great, Elliot's favorite show." She said before beginning to cry. She fell asleep and was woken up by the sound of her cell ringing. She pulled it out of her pocket thinking if it was Elliot she was going to hang up on him.

"Benson."

"Olivia, it's Cragen. I need you and Elliot to go to the corner of 7th and Park. We got a rape-homicide."

She looked at her watch. It was 3:45 in the morning. She groaned.

"Alright, I'm on my way. Should I call Elliot?"

"No I've already called him. He said he will meet you there." The line went dead. She muttered to herself. "Of course he did. He has to get out of bed with his girlfriend first."

She threw on her shoes, grabbed her gun and badge from the table, put on her coat and grabbed her keys and left.
