Peeping around the door frame, only her eyes and hair visible, Delphi watched with fascination as her mother got herself ready for the party that night. She wasn't allowed to go, she was too little and had been put to bed by her aunt. Stupid aunt, she was not too little, she was big at two. As soon as her aunt was gone she had gotten out of bed and here she was. Her eyes starting to feel heavy but she wasn't tired. She was never tired!
When her mother had finished with all her pots and colours she gasped as the elf bought out a long sparkly princess dress, better than her princess dresses. Unable to stop herself she burst into the room and ran to her mother, "mummy! Mummy! Are you a princess?", she was breathless with excitement and couldn't stop wiggling. A real life princess!
Looking round startled as her daughter ran in Bellatrix laughed and scooped up her little mini me, " the only princess here is you". Tickling her daughter's stomach you would never think her to be a death eater, she was just a mother right then. Looking back to her elf Bellatrix smirked, her sister had decreed no children but she hadn't said no princesses.
"Pinky, get that new princess dress, Delphi needs to get ready", taking her daughter to the dressing table she sat her in front of the mirror and took the stool, " little princesses are having to go to the ball as well". She spoke seriously then laughed at her daughter doing a sitting down wiggle dance, "mummy.. Aunty Cissy she said I wasn't to go". Carefully starting to apply a light touch of makeup to her daughter Bellatrix grinned, " your aunt says a lot of things".
"Miss Bella, Pinky has the dress you asked for", holding it up so the child could see the elf jumped as Delphi squealed. "Its beautiful mummy!", jumping down from the dressing table, and scattering different bottles as she did, the little girl stared open mouthed at the dress, the skirt was layered white and green, the white layer ruffled and glittered while the green was decorated with roses and pearls while the bodice had delicate little white lace ruffles that were glittered.
Helping Delphi into it then curling her hair and giving her jewellery to wear made mother and daughter late for the party. But it was worth it as they entered and all eyes turned to the little girl, making Bellatrix feel even prouder. Seeing her sister across the room glaring at her she left Delphi with Walburga and went to see the blonde, using a finger under her sister's chin to close Narcissa's mouth, " it's rude to stare Cissy".
Turning accusing eyes on her sister Narcissa was obviously angry at her, "there are meant to be no children here tonight". Laughing at her sister Bellatrix shook her head, " you didn't say no princesses though". She was already gliding away when Narcissa shot her a filthy look. She would pay for this but seeing her daughter happy and excited she didn't care.
