Dan didn't care for parties much, especially Upper East Side parties at the Palace. He was about to leave when he spotted Blair sitting outside, he walked up to her, she was obviously upset. He noticed tears running down her cheeks, at that moment he saw what was underneath the fake smile and the cover up, he saw that Blair Waldorf was broken.
"Hey are you okay?"
"Peachy," she muttered.
He sat next to her gazing up at the stars, over the years of dating Serena he noticed Blair wasn't as bad as he thought she was.
"Do you miss him?"
"Who?"
"You know... Chuck?"
"I don't want him back if that's what you're asking... why do you care anyway?" She snapped.
"I know what it's like—"
"Breaking up with Vanessa Abrams is nothing like breaking up with Chuck Bass," she interrupted.
"Maybe not... but if you don't want him back then why are you upset?"
Shit, she thought he had a point, why was she upset. Suddenly their phones both rang: (1) inbox, it read.
Spotted: C back to his old ways, looks like B isn't that hard to get over.
Attached to the blast were photos of Chuck and a tall blond woman getting into his limo.
"That's why," she swallowed.
"You deserve better than him Blair, you deserve someone that will treat you with the respect you deserve, someone that will tell you your beautiful daily, and someone that will love you no matter what."
"Oh yer, and where will I find someone like that?" She chuckled.
He gazed into her dark chocolate eyes and closed the gap between their lips. Never in a million years did he think he would be kissing Blair Waldorf. It was somewhat for filling, he had never had a kiss like that before, and it was amazing, so full of passion. He felt her hand grab his hair, he pulled away and stroked her face.
"I don't want to take advantage of you when you're upset," he whispered. "I'm thinking some famous Rufus Humphrey waffles are in order.
"Only in Brooklyn," she smiled holding Dan's hand walking down the street.
"What are thinking about right now?" he asked curious as to what goes on in the mind of Blair Waldorf.
"The last time a tetanus shot, why?"
"Just wondering," he laughed.
