Synopsis
Bekah, Taimu, David, Destiny, and Anubis are on a visit to their Johto house in Azalea Town. The group is just hanging out, and Bekah decides to buy a magazine. Inside, it's said that soon, Celebi will gather at Ilex Shrine to perform a ritual to extend the life of a Celebi commonly known as "Elder Celebi," who is thought to have been the very first Celebi alive. Bekah's dead set on finally getting Taimu to meet his peers, but the little Pokémon seems reluctant. After some pressing from his friends, he tells them a secret he's kept for a long time: he has absolutely no idea how to use his time powers. They assure him that he'll be fine, and he's slightly comforted. When the big day comes, Bekah and Taimu enter the forest without the rest of the group. Taimu timidly flits about, trying to talk to his fellow Celebi. However, all of them simply ignore him. Downcast, he sits in a tree, next to another Celebi. He doesn't try to start up conversation this time; instead, the other Celebi talks to him. Turns out, this Celebi is Elder Celebi, and she assures Taimu that with practice and hard work, he'll be able to use his powers. She even offers to tutor him for a day!
Elder Celebi uses her own time powers to transport them to a different time, when less Celebi were around. She shows Taimu a basic way to start and build up his time powers, and prompts him to try. He manages to get a small white orb, but besides that, nothing. Taimu becomes downcast quickly, but Elder Celebi keeps telling him to keep practicing, giving him pointers all the while. After a bit, training is interrupted by a poacher attacking them! The two fly off quickly, but the trainer's Scyther knocks down Elder Celebi. She tells Taimu to run, but he refuses. Thinking fast, he uses Arial Ace to knock the Scyther away, before frantically helping Elder Celebi get back to Ilex Shrine. Once there, it becomes evident that she doesn't have the energy necessary to transport them back to the ritual. With the Scyther closing in on them, Taimu desperately tries to use his time powers…
And they work! They appear in a flash of light at the shrine with all the other Celebi around them, and Taimu tells them to start the ceremony stat! They do so, and Elder Celebi's health is restored and she looks younger. Taimu attempts to help with the ritual, but his powers don't seem to work anymore. Elder Celebi tells him he still needs more practice, but he's got the power to make it work. Taimu and Bekah leave Ilex Forest much happier than when they came in.
