My heart raced as I ran through the streets of Azrelia, trying desperately to get away from 'Him'. I could feel the furious drumming of the organ fill my ears, and shake my chest as I continued to push on.

I could tell my breathing was labored and heavy, because my throat had become raw, and burned fiercely from running for what seemed like miles.

I could tell it sounded this way even though I couldn't hear it. The beating of my heart was to loud for me possibly to. So loud I'm sure even 'He' could hear it.

This thought frightened me and I pushed myself on, running faster, despite my body's protest.

"Come on doll, I know you can't run forever." a deep sickly sweet voice called from behind me. I gasped, but didn't dare turn around in fear he would be right behind me.

His voice sounded so close it seemed like my fear wasn't that irrational. Almost as if he was right behind me. And if I slowed down at all his hand would grab the back of my shirt, while the other holds his nailed baseball bat, soaked with all the blood from that woman…. Oh that poor woman. I shudder as her brutally massacred body flashed before my eyes. Her blood pouring out from under her, clearly visible even in the dim light of the streets.

I shake my head trying desperately to rid myself of these images.

I'm not sure where I am anymore, I'm not really even sure if I'm still running away from the man rather than towards him. Even so, I decided it would be best to keep running down the streets, rather than in an alley where I could get trapped.

A cool breeze hit my face, making my already raw throat burn once again, as I inhaled the icy air, desperate for oxygen.

"I-I have to keep r-running." a said to myself between pants, trying desperately to find the strength to keep going. Miraculously, I did.

It was probably the idea of what would happened if I stopped… No… I couldn't even bring myself to think about that.

I saw a park In the distance, and with the remaining strength I had left managed jogged to it. Stopping to rest my exhausted body on a bench for a moment.

A few minutes later, I heard a voice echo in the distance. To far for me to make out the words, but still to close for my liking.

Just wanting to get away as soon as possible I stood up, and took off running again, thankful for the moment of rest. But not to soon after, I tripped over a tree branch, rock, root, it didn't real matter, the outcome was still the same.

I tried to pick myself up, but fell down again soon after, a sharp pain shooting through my leg. I lay in pain.

I must have screamed, even though I have no memory of doing so, because soon after I heard footsteps in the distance. I laid down as flat as I could, trying desperately in vain to make my self invisible.

I closed my eyes, not wanting to face what I knew came next.

*crunch crunch*

The sound of foot steps seemed to echo around the area, even if they did, which is doubtful, no one was around to hear them anyway.

I slowly brought my eyes up from the cold ground, to be meant by red ones that almost seemed to glow through the night.

He laughed lightly bringing his blood soaked bat under my chin.

"And you thought you could get away."

I cringed and closed my eyes as a singly tear ran down my cheek.

He took a step back.

I though about what that woman looked like when she had died.

A drop of blood fell from the bat onto the back of my hand.

And how similar our corpses must look

And then I heard the bat swing up.
