She was there when you needed someone.
She was even willing to risk everything for you, and yet you never saw her. The efforts and sacrifices she had to make just to keep you satisfied and happy were just stuff that you expected for her to do. You just saw what you wanted to see, and believed what you wanted to believe. You didn't consider her feelings in the process because it's always been about you.
But even with your many flaws that your closest friends only saw, she accepted and loved you for who you are. She welcomed you with open arms and embraced everything that you have to offer. She saw the goodness inside of you when almost everyone failed to see the goodness you can offer.
But this is where it ends.
She loved you.
But you only realize that now when you're already too late to change things. Now that when she's standing in the altar with her husband-to-be and ready to utter the words, "I do". And all you could do is stare at her with longing in your eyes and extreme pain in your chest. Knowing you can do nothing to stop it, not when she's looking at the man in front of her with love evident in her eyes, and make her see and know that you're ready to give in.
But you can't do that now, can you?
AU: I'm a sucker for fics with themes like this. Not sorry for the angst. (Why must I succumb myself in angst?)
