~ Death of the Golden one ~
Mariah sat in a long, black car, tears slipping off her cheeks. She watched out
of the window, completely broken. In the reflection of the it she could see the
sad faces of the Bladebreakers. They had red eyes from crying.
Mariah searched for a handkerchief in her pocket. She whiped away her tears,
but new ones replaced them.
The car with the coffin drove in front of them. A whole row of cars were behind
the car they sat in.
Suddenly Mariah heard the resound of the bells from the church. On the moment
she heard them tears were slipping over her cheecks again, leaving a trail. The
cars came to a stop in front of the church...
*
Mariah and the other people in her car stepped out of it. They saw the coffin
slowly being brought to the church. Family and friends followed it.
The organ began to play while the people who accompagned the coffin were
walking inside.
Tears left Mariah's eyes again, but now there were much more. She didn't dare
to look at the people's faces.
Pressing the handkerchief against her eyes, she walked further.
Sometimes she saw faces who seemed to be crying too, though she couldn't see
them well.
The priest mentioned to the bench she was supposed to sit on with her team
mates.
Mariah stood in front of the bench, tears slipping off her cheeks, waiting till
the music would stop so she could calm down a bit.
The music didn't stop. Mariah felt like she would faint in any second as she
looked at the coffin. She just wanted to cry out untill the tears stopped
comming. But there wasn't any chance for her to do so. Not in public.
Eventually the music stopped.
"You can sit down," the priest said. The ceremony began.
"We are here to remember the death of Rei Kon."
More tears slipped off Mariah's cheecks.
"He was a great son and very loyal friend."
More tears came.
'How will I ever survive this?," Mariah thought.
*
"Now, Mariah Lei, Rei's girlfriend, will say something about Rei and bring
a text."
Mariah walked forwards. She couldn't go back anymore.
She started, voice shakely.
" I knew Rei a very long time. He always was there for me when I needed
him. We survived the hardest times."
Mariah's voice became more unsteady with the minute.
" I'll never forget Rei. Because of that, I made a text . I think it quite
fits."
Tears fell from Mariah's cheeks while she began to read her text.
" I didn't lose my lover, because he gave me too much for that. I'll keep
hearing what he said to me, Of what I am he is a part. I will come by him
everywhere, In what I do and don't. He was and is a blessing for me. From who
the trail goes on."
"Thank you," Mariah managed to whisper trough her tears.
With that she walked back to her seat.
*
Music began to play while the family and friends walked back out of the church
again, following the coffin.
Some people talked, encouraging their children or friends. But Mariah didn't. She
just stared at the coffin, still with tears in her eyes.
'How could you leave me here alone, Rei?,' She thought desperately.
Mariah and the Bladebreakers stepped in the car again, going to the last
resting-place of Rei Kon, their lover or friend ...
