"Hatori

"Hatori!" a melodic cry of the doctor's name burst through the open door of his room. Hatori sighed, and pulled on his white coat.

"Come in," he muttered, not bother to utter the name of the "patient" that was soon to enter. He pushed a strand of ebony black hair from his eyes and sighed as he spotted the tall man with the swinging pale hair and red jacket who was leaning on the door frame of the room.

"Why, hello Tori-san," the man said, his mouth curved into a large smile. Hatori gave another sigh as he came closer and sat down opposite him.

"Hello, Ayame," he muttered, and waved a hand irritatedly as Ayame picked up his polystyrene head and examined it. "Put it down."

Ayame gave a snort of laughter and placed the head back onto the desk. "Sorry, Tori-san," he said. "I was just wondering where you got it." Noticing Hatori's expression, he laughed again. "You look so funny when you make those faces," he giggled. "And I wanted to know as I could really use some for my shop. Those floral hats look very sloppy just sitting there on the railings, you get my drift?"

Hatori nodded, and turned to his computer, starting to tap something and watching as it appeared on the screen. Ayame hoisted himself onto the desk and swung his legs around so he was staring at the screen too.

"Haha," he laughed, pointing. "That guy's name is Bob."

"WILL YOU SIT DOWN ON A CHAIR?" Hatori snapped impatiently. Ayame raised an eyebrow and slipped off the desk and into a chair.

"Well, sorry," he said, and smiled at Hatori. Hatori stared blankly back for a few seconds, then continued typing. Ayame swung his legs slightly then jumped up, making a loud clacking sound on the hard floor.

"What?" Hatori said, his voice going an octave or two higher as he glared at his cousin, standing there with his finger pointing.

"We should call SHIGURE! No, wait! Call Tohru, Kyo and Yuki too!" Ayame's face relaxed into a huge grin and he clapped his hands excitedly. Hatori hit his forehead with the palm of his hand.

"DON'T call Shigure. DON'T." But Ayame was already seizing the phone and dialing the number of his cousin's house. Hatori watched as his companion blabbed endlessly into the phone.

"Helloooo? Oh, hi Tohru," Ayame gave Hatori a thumbs up sign. "Yes, yes, very well thank you, yourself? Great. I was wondering if you'd like to stop round to see Tori-san and I, we're currently enjoying a light brunch and discussing happy days."

"We are?" A frown creased Hatori's forehead. Ayame just smiled and flicked his hand.

"That's GREAT! I'll see you in ten. Ciao!" He put the phone down. "They're stopping by in ten minutes."

"What the HELL, Ayame?!" Hatori shouted.

Ayame grinned. "I'm off to buy some wasabi from the superstore round the corner. I won't be long!" He stood up and, waving at Hatori, flew out of the room. Hatori stared after him. What had he let himself in for?
