Frozen Passion

My attempt at a sestina poem about Momo and Toshiro before the Winter War began. It's pretty much a bunch of fluff lol I had to write a poem for class and this is what I came up with... Please read and review!

"Frozen Passion"

The wind blows cold,

Whipping my hair around my face.

Your blue eyes, they glisten

In the dim light of the night.

Why can't we stay

This way forever?

I wish you would stay

Under the stars as they glisten,

Lighting your face.

If you're cold

We can be together forever

Under the cover of night.

But it isn't long enough, forever

For us to be face to face.

Swords of war will glisten

On a pitch black night.

War is cold

And I wish you could just stay.

You're pale, your face;

You seem so cold

On this fateful night.

Why won't your eyes glisten

When I say that forever

Is not how long war will stay?

Another night

I'll see your face

In the evening cold.

But don't stay

Gone forever

And my eyes with tears won't glisten.

I won't be gone forever.

The stars will still glisten

When I return in the cold,

A shadow in the night.

And then on your face

Tears of joy will stay.

The cold in the night won't stay.

I'll long for your brown eyes to glisten.

Then forever I'll see your face.
