"I am sorry Dexter, but I can't go out with you not only because you are an otaku but you are also a science nerd." Dexter was crushed to hear this coming from his first love Blossom. His heart was broken in pieces and to think that it was broken by the leader of the Power Puff Girls of all people. He was crushed and it was on the day that he and his family were moving to Japan too but who would have thought that Blossom was into bad boys? His heart just couldn't take it and Dexter swore that he would hide his intellect from everyone in his new school.
"Don't worry little brother, I heard that girls in Japan like smart people. I also heard that there are these groups of magical girls called Precure that go around and protect people like Major Glory. I even heard that they are with the police! Hey, I bet that you would enjoy debunking that magical girl theory that has been floating around recently." Dexter's sister Dee Dee babbled on as an effort to cheer up her brother. Unfortunately her efforts were put in vain when Dexter didn't respond.
On the other hand, Dexter was glad that the school required uniform and since he was actually thinking about changing his look, he decided that he was just going to settle on wearing his lab coat at home. The next day the family was headed towards the new school in Japan and Dexter was already wearing the uniform. The top was a black and white checkered dress suit with a black tie to match. He also wore black dress pants and comfortable black dress shoes. Usually Dexter was never nervous about going to school but since he actually wants to fit in and try a new persona, he was now a nervous hoping that the new personality he picked would be to everyone's liking. There, he was greeting by two girls. Twins in fact.
"Ah, you must be Dexter McPherson. My name is Aoi Tsukune and this is my younger twin sister Yuki Tsukune. It is a pleasure to meet you and I hope that we get along."
"Aoi, aren't you forgetting that we are twins! We were born on the same day for crying out loud!"
"Any you, Nii-Chan are forgetting that I am 0.003 seconds older than you."
"Hey! Math is my thing you big meanie!"
"I know but as your older sister, I am allowed to tease you." At this point Dexter was gaping at the sisters playful teasing. "Oh where are my manners, welcome to Royal Academy and as you might have figured out already, this is a school for prodigies." Once Aoi said this, Dexter felt as though his brain was about to shut down due to the sudden revelation.
"Are you ok mister?" The younger twin asked clearly concerned for him but once he snapped out of the shock he took notice that the girls were wearing the girl's version of the school uniform. It was the same as the boys except that both girls wore a black mini skirt, a brown belt, white stockings that went up to their thighs, flat black dress shoes and to complete the look the girls wore either black or white bow ties. Though Dexter had to admit that the uniform looked good on them and even thought that it went well with their blue hair but Dexter could tell that Aoi was more formal because her hair was long and flat while Yuki's was tied into a twin tailed fashion.
"Hey mister are you staring at us? It's kind of creepy." Yuki pointed out.
"Apologies, I was just shocked since my parents never informed me that the school was so… prestigious." Dexter said in a thick Russian accent while both girls giggled at the scientist's blush.
"That ok but I bet you were surprised huh? Oh that's right! We never asked you your name how silly of us to do something like that!" Said Yuki amused by her own mistake.
"My name is Dexter McPherson and I don't suppose that you already know about my… abnormal intellect?" Asked Dexter as he paused for a moment.
"Sure do! What? Did you think that you were going to be like everyone else and try to be 'normal' because being normal is like, sooooo boooriiiiiiiing!" Aoi sighed at this while Yuki continued her rant as he glared at Dexter who didn't know what he has just started but Dexter was just too stunned to even noticed. After that episode with Aoi and Yuki, the day went on like any other day but what Dexter didn't know was just what exactly what he was in for. Apparently it all started when Dexter got lost during free period and after a wrong turn he saw something a little weird and that weird thing was that it was Yuki and Aoi talking to a hamster and that the hamster was talking back to them.
"We have been discovered! Aoi quick, get the Precure Mind Eraser App ready!" The hamster said now panicking. However once said hamster was calm he then said,"Hmm, now that I think about it I can smell a lot of despair energy coming from that guy. Ok how about this, first we help this guy with his problem and then we erase his memory."
"What am I looking at? I know that I have experimented on my own dog once in order to make him talk but this is absolutely ridiculous."
"Hamtaro, are you sure that it would be a good idea?" Aoi asked voicing her concern.
"It's Lucifer not Hamtaro! Why must you girls insist on naming after that ridiculous cartoon hamster! We still need to look for the prince of the Knowledge Kingdom who is still missing might I add, and not only that we also need to find the rest of the Academia Precure unit!" The hamster then turned to Dexter and asked,"So kid how good are you at keeping secrets?" With that said Dexter fainted on the spot as a result.
"So… is he dead or something? Oh my gosh! He's dead! I just started my first year and I can't have a criminal record on my hands! Aoi quick, cover up the evidence and remove the dead body!" Said Yuki now hyperventilating.
"Breathe Yuki, he is not dead and he is just unconscious because he fainted remember? Look, he is starting to wake up now."
"Uggh, I think that my weirdness meter has finally reached an unhealthy level and I thought that second grade was an interesting year for me." Both sister then smiled at Dexter relieved that he was ok. The girls then explained to Dexter that they were apart of a magical girl group called Academia Precure and that they were from another dimension called the Knowledge Kingdom. They explained to Dexter that the people of the Knowledge Kingdom are obsessed with science but recently they have been taken over by these demons called despair along with their Queen Emerald.
The despair are creatures that like to suck the happiness and inspiration to use their gifts out of people but fourteen years ago the prince tried to stop the creatures when they took over. Unfortunately the prince was defeated and was reborn as a regular human on Earth and ever since then the lovable hamster now known as Hamtaro or rather Lucifer has been searching for the prince as well as the rest of the Precure ever since.
"That is a lot to take in and I have seen plenty of weird things throughout my life but I am going to have a heck of a time believing that you girls are magic. Still, that doesn't mean I don't believe you." Dexter said smiling and if he were a lot younger he would have made fun of them for it because he knew that back then that his pride as well as his own ego wouldn't let him believe it. Though he is still the same Dexter we all know and love but now that he is older, he is more mature. Then again he did have a crush on a superhero but there was only so much weirdness at once.
"Oh Hikari-Chan, I didn't see you come in. What's the matter? Was the music room too loud for you?" Asked Aoi as she tried her best to calm the poor girl down. It was at that point that Dexter realized that the girl Hikari had Autism has he frown at the girl mostly due to concern since she was still freaking out. However all was not well when Dexter saw a dark aura floating around her as he grew more concerned for the girl.
"Stupid." Said the burnette as the black aura around her became bigger.
"Whoa! Hikari-Chan, did those soccer jerks make fun of you again? Listen to me, you are not stupid, you just think differently and that is ok." Said Yuki trying to comfort her friend while also remembering not to touch her since she knew that her friend doesn't like that.
"Stupid." Said Hikari in a emotionless tone as the twins were pushed back by an invisible force. This action then surprised the girls just after Hikari left.
"What was that? Tell me that you saw that black aura surrounding that girl!" Screamed Dexter as he tried to make sense of what he just saw.
"You can see it can you? The girl is possessed but the fact that you can see it is strange because the despair can't be seen with the naked eye so we usually have to wear special equipment to track it down and with this strange ability that you have, perhaps you might be useful to us after all." Dexter looked thoughtful for a moment as he decided to go after the girls who already transformed into their alter egos Cure Atom and Cure Pi. Once there Dexter was shocked when he saw the girls and Hikari while at the same time became worried for her safety when she became a monster version of herself and began to sing The Lost One's Weeping by Hatsune Miku and to say that her singing was loud was an understatement. Dexter then eyed the girls who were still wearing their Precure outfits wich were just really frilly dresses that consisted of many bow and ribbons along with combat boots and wild blue hair to match. The only difference about the outfit was the color and Aoi's dress was blue while Yuki's was red.
The other noticeable thing was that the girl's used their cell phones to call out their attacks and they can only use one special attack per transformation so it was easy to tell they the girls try to use them sparingly.
"Precure Atom Bomb!" Shouted Aoi as a large explosion was used to attack the monster that was possessing Hikari.
"Precure Logic Slice!" Shouted Yuki as multiple holographic equations began cut the monster like ninja throwing stars. At this point Hamtaro was starting to get frustrated over the fact that the monster wouldn't come out of Hikari. He then turned to Dexter and said,"That's it! Your helping!" As if on cue the hamster handed what Dexter assumed was a smartphone thinking that the phone itself was too girly for him but the boy genius did not feel like arguing with a hamster.
"What's the big idea?" Dexter demanded.
"I don't know! You're the genius figure it out yourself!" Said the talking hamster as he helped himself by crawling himself up inside Dexter's uniform top pocket. Dexter then sweatdropped at this while the creature did this.
"You stupid rodent! I hope your happy in there and be lucky that I am trying to not call people that anymore!" Dexter yelled in a thick Russian accent as he continued his rant just before the monster decided to attack him. Dexter then dodged another attack while the two magical girls tried to get the public to safety and it was at that moment that Dexter realized that Hikari's voice was controlling the monster.
"I need to talk to her." Dexter thought out loud.
"I admire your effort but I don't think that a heart to heart conversation would get through to her." Said Hamtaro after falling back to sleep in Dexter's pocket.
"Who asked you, you stupid rodent!" Dexter sighed hoping that this won't become a habit. "Hikari-Chan! That's your name right? Look, I know that you are upset and I overheard from the girls that those soccer jerks called you stupid! I understand that Autism can be hard to deal with but I don't think that you should let that kind of thing get to you! You are not stupid! You just think differently from everyone else and I think that I would want to get to know that side of you!"
"Don't. Think. Stupid?" Asked Hikari as she tried her best to break free from the monster's possession. That was when Dexter suddenly knew how to cure her and decided not to question it. "Hey ugly!" Yelled Dexter as he gulped realizing that he got the monster's attention. "Get out of my friend you stupid jerk! Precure Cleansing Spirit!"
Dexter then used his coding skill to create a new app. As for animation the phone floated in the air and was surrounded by a blue light forcing the monster out of Hikari's body. Her outfit then changed into a pink version of the Precure uniform complete with pink hair tied into a Princess Leia fashion. The new Precure was then surprised to receive a pink phone and she decided to take it once her instincts took over.
"Blast!" Hikari shout but instinctively Hamtaro knew that the real name of the attack was called the Precure Paint Blast and was actually relieved that the phone was able to take the command anyway since speaking full sentences was hard for the new member.
"Looks like we gained another new member!" Hamtaro said happily as he poked his head out of Dexter's pocket while Dexter himself looked thoughtful as he looked at Hikari.
"Hmm, with that attack I am assuming that you are good at anything artistic. How about Cure Creativity for you name? What do think Hikari-Chan?"
"Creativity! Creativity!" Hikari cheered as she hugged her new friend who was now blushing a bright tomato red.
"Hiya! It me Yuki! I am so glad that we have a new member!"
"Yuki, don't scare Hikari!" Aoi said as she scolded her sister while Dexter only sweatdropped wondering what he just got himself into as he stared at the scene. Meanwhile at the airport, a mysterious black haired, brown sweater vest, glasses wearing boy who seemed to be about Dexter's age was glad that he was finally off that plane after the long ride. He then stared at a photo of him and Dexter back from when they were younger and said,"Tuddrussel, Larry, do you think that Dexter would be surprised to see me?"
