"I love them" Caroline mumbled, hugging a cushion and sitting on one end of the couch.
"Really?" Stefan asked with a playful smile, amused at her enthusiasm, sitting on the other end of the couch.

Caroline looked at him from the corner of the eye and threw the cushion to his face when she realized that he was laughing at her. Stefan laughed even more, leaving on his lap.

"Stop laughing at me" she said.
"I just think it's funny how much you love them" he said, pointing at the TV screen. They were watching Friends, specifically the episode of Monica and Chandler's wedding. "Actually, what is funny is how many times you've said you like them."
"Because their story is so… good" Caroline sighed and put that face that she had when she really liked something. "They were people who didn't like each other, and then they became friends, and then best friends and…"

Caroline closed her mouth suddenly at listening to herself and Stefan looked at his lap with a little smile. She cleared her throat and stared back at the TV.

"I like them too" Stefan said, scratching his neck. "What's better than two best friends falling in love, huh?"

Stefan threw the cushion to her head and Caroline rolled her eyes, suppressing a smile. Both watched the scene of the wedding in silence and Stefan was able to see the little smile on her lips while doing so.

"And what about marriage?" he asked suddenly, looking at the screen.
"What with it?" she replied with another question, her eyes fixed on the TV.

Stefan looked at her and Caroline did the same with a questioning look since he was taking some seconds to answer.

"Have you thought about it?" he asked.

Caroline looked at him in silence for a few seconds, wondering if it was some kind of trap, test or joke.

"Well, yeah, I did" she finally said. "I think it's cute."

Stefan looked blankly at her for a moment, thoughtful.

"What?" she asked with a frown.
"Well… I think you'd look good with a white dress" he said, shrugging. Caroline raised her eyebrows and Stefan sat a little closer to her. "I mean, look at Monica and Chandler. They were strangers who became friends who became best friends who fell in love" he said, and sat a little closer.
"Mm" Caroline watched him carefully.
"And they got married in the end" he said. "Isn't it great?" he was very close to her and wrapped her with his arm to drop it over her shoulder. "I don't know, I think something like that will happen to you."

Caroline looked at him, amused.

"Oh, really?"
"Uh-huh."
"And how do you know that?"
"I have a feeling" he said, nodding.

Caroline threw her head back and laughed, shaking it. Stefan looked at her, smiling.

"What?" he asked.
"Are you flirting with me?"
"Me? No! I'm just predicting our future together" he explained, shrugging. Caroline was dying to jump on him and kiss him, but she resisted. She was still grieving, and he was supposedly waiting for her.
"And why are you so sure about that?"
"I don't know, something tells me you're dying to marry me" he said, raising his eyebrows.
"Egocentric" she mumbled.

Stefan laughed and his lips got close to her cheek, but Caroline put her hand against his chest to stop him. He looked at her hand with a frown.

"Stop" she said.
"Why?"
"You're flirting with me!" Caroline said, freaking out.
"That's not true, I told you I'm just talking about our future together."
"Are you asking me to marry you, Stefan?" she asked, laughing, and trying to think that it was all a joke. But something told her that it was not and that Stefan was being serious.
"Well, I am, but it actually depends on you" he said. "And on you saying the word beginning with 'rea' and ending with 'dy'.

Stefan moved closer to her to kiss her on the cheek but Caroline gave him a push and his back fell on the couch. She pursed her lips to keep from smiling as he laughed out loud.
