Her Reality
Prompt: Better, Better Than Revenge by Taylor Swift
Summary: Ever since her sister's freakish activities were given a cause, Lily was put first by her parents…Petunia always came second. Despite her indifference…deep in her heart, being Lily was all she wanted. A slight insight to Petunia! Written for Character Diversity Boot Camp Challenge
She hated her!
Yes, she did.
She despised her little freak of a sister.
Because, she was nothing but a freak.
She hated everything that she could do.
It wasn't even interesting or educating.
It was abnormal.
Of course, it would be.
Why couldn't her parents see what she really was?
It was so obvious!
Why did they have to be so enthralled by every single and stupid story of hers?
It was more like some made-up story. In fact, she bet it was a made-up thing.
Why did they exclaim in amazement at her oddity?
But she saw through her alright.
They hung on her every word! Lily is this…Lily is that…Lily said this…Lily said that.
What an attention seeker she was!
Everything she did was new.
But if she tried anything…it was old and already seen.
Lily is so talented, such a bright little child.
It was hard to enlighten them…being a freak didn't mean being talented
How she wished that Lily never existed!
Then, she wouldn't have to put up with a freak.
Because it was always Lily
But never ever Petunia.
Yet, she tried to convince herself…that she was happy to be normal; there was still a tug of hope, deepest in her heart.
All she wanted was to be different.
All she wanted to be exciting.
All she wanted was to be Lily.
All she wanted was to be a freak.
A/N: Hope I could get even a little bit of insight of Petunia's mind in this! After all, we all knew she was jealous…and very much hungry for possessing the qualities that Lily had.
Review please?
