The first time Eren saw Historia break down in front of him he wanted nothing more than to hold her and cry with her. And he did just that. He wrapped his arms around her and rested his head on hers. Eren stroked her hair and cried for her, but he didn't say a word. Words weren't needed though, they both understood everything the other was feeling. When Historia saw him crying she knew that she could trust him more than anyone else. She told him how much she hated being Krista, the girl she wasn't and never could be, the facade she put on every day. Being Krista Lenz was more of a burden than it ever was, it was hard to pretend she was nice and caring and bubbly all the time; but she thought that if she was Historia and not Krista she'd be rejected by everyone, just like before. When Eren said he liked Historia more than Krista she suddenly felt a weight lifted from her chest. She never thought she could be accepted by anyone and Eren changed that. She felt comfortable and safe around him. She knew that no matter what, she could trust Eren because he accepted her as she truly was.
