Amazed
-she hated this-
School work, school work, and more school work. Ginny let out a large sigh, shaking her head back and forth, trying unsuccessfully to clear her thoughts. End of year exams were hard, she had to admit, and she needed to pass these ones. That meant studying, and lots of it, cramming hundreds of facts into her brain and desperately trying to remember them tomorrow. She hated studying.
It was hot today, the type of weather that made everyone want to go outside and do something. And here she was, stuck in the library, while all her friends had a jolly old time. Great, just great.
It was basically the last time she would see him until her return to Hogwarts, and she couldn't even see him. She let out a large groan, dropping her quill and placing her head in her hands. Her hair fell over her face, the red strands tickling her eyes.
She hated this.
She hated the secrecy, the lying she had to do, just so she could see him.
She hated that she couldn't be part of a normal couple, couldn't show her affection towards him in public.
She hated it.
But she loved him, so she went through with it, lied every single time her brother asked where she was going, made cover-stories incase she was found out. She hid her swollen lips, she hid the present he had given her; she hid everything that was a part of their relationship.
She even hid her feelings, and that hurt more than anything.
Hands closed over her eye, and she twisted around in her seat, twirling her quill through her fingers. "Get off of me!" she exclaimed, bringing an arm up to shove the attacker in the stomach, emitting a large grunt from the stranger.
"Oww, Ginny! Can't you tell it's me?"
Her mouth dropped in surprise, and a blush spread over her cheeks as she struggled for words. "I'm sorry?" she offered, biting her lip as she watching Draco bend over in pain and gasp for breath. "I really don't know my own strength."
"That's obvious," he said, grey eyes glancing up at her. She blushed deeper.
"Why are you here, anyway?" she questioned him, twirling her quill through her fingers. It wasn't that she didn't mind that break from her studies, but he was hesitant about them being seen together in public.
Draco shrugged, before straightening up. "Can't I'm see my girlfriend?"
"Shh!" She held a finger to her lip, shaking her head. "We don't want anyone to hear that."
He drew closer to her, grey eyes gazing into hers. "Why not, huh? Why are so afraid of us being seen together, Ginny? Don't you know that I love you?"
"Well, Draco, maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time," she threw back, dropping her quill and brushing hair out of her face. "And maybe, just maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you. It was just months ago that we were enemies, and now, here we are, together."
He shook his head, before wrapping his arms around her. "Can you just forget about all the worrying, and the stressing, and can we just focus on our feelings? I love you, and you love me, at that's all there is to it, okay?"
She nodded.
He loved her, and that was that.
