Prologue
June 1, 2009
In the late night of June 1st in the year 2009, life as Americans knew it was radically altered forever. A European terrorist group, later identified as a group calling themselves the simply and cryptically "Anonymous", detonated an Electromagnetic Pulse weapon in the atmosphere over the United States of America. The Electromagnetic Pulse wiped out America's computer and communication systems, most of which could not be recovered and saved. The result was mass chaos, knocking the once great country into poverty and anarchy. Unbeknownst to them, Dean and Samuel Winchester had just witnessed the trigger that would send them INTO THE UNKNOWN and land them in the year 2020, where they would once again save the world, this time with the aid of some individuals they had never imagined even existing in their wildest dreams.

It was just after midnight and Dean Winchester was chuckling as he pocketed the large stack of bills he'd just hustled from a group of bikers. He flashed that insufferable smirk of his at the leather clad males and followed his brother out of the sleazy dive. Samuel Winchester, the youngest living brother just rolled his eyes, he had long since given up trying to get Dean to make money in an honest way. He breathed in the fresh night air and pocketed his hands, that familiar pull for the taste of demon blood burning in his throat as he made a beeline for the Impala. He wanted it so badly, but not really. His body craved it even after having been clean of the stuff for nearly two months. But he wouldn't go back there again. Look where it had lead them the last time, he'd unleashed Satan and the frigging apocalypse on the earth. Something which they had just barely averted.
"What the fetch?" Dean questions in surprise as a brilliant ball of light suddenly lights up the night sky.
Sam only gasps in response, shielding his eyes in instinct as the ball brightens. A small rattle shakes the windows of the bar and the boys are alarmed as a small tingle passes through them. In less than a minute the light has dulled and they peek out from behind their arms as the patrons of Highway Men's spill out into the dusty dirt parking lot.
"Sam? What the hell was that?" Dean demands as his brother straightens.
Sam looks to his brother, his mouth hanging open in a slight "o". He shrugs and says, "I don't know, Dean."
"Oh fuck," Dean utters nearly a full minute later as he watches a hysteric biker try and start his motorcycle again and again with no success. He wrenches the door of his 1967 Chevy Impala open and slides in, muttering a silent prayer as he puts his key into the ignition. After a dramatic moment's pause he turns the key over and nothing, not even a sputter.
"Come on, baby." He whispers and tries again, "FUCK!"
Sam just stays silent as he leans against the now useless car, his brown eyes fixed on the orange orb hanging above the horizon as he thinks 'Fuck, indeed.'

AUTHOR"S NOTE: Well, not even the first chapter and I've already killed off a main character. Don't flame me for this please. I didn't do it willingly. My research said any car after 1960 would be rendered useless by the Electromagnetic Pulse. Besides, if it had worked the most realistic situation would be them getting murdered by hysteric people once they saw the boys had a working car.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the prologue. Tune in next time for some Alec and Max goodness with a surprise guest from Supernatural seasons past! (Who could it be? : O)
DISCLAIMER: I don't own shit. Just the original plots I came up with for characters created by James Cameron and Eric Kripke
