Doctor Lance F. Sweets got up on Monday morning, ate breakfast on his way to work, did some paperwork, and set off for his meeting with Dr Zack Addy. Ever since finding out that he had never actually killed someone in real life he had been trying to convince him to allow him to tell his friends that particular fact. The first thing that Zack said when he got there was:

"I love her." Lance furrowed his brow.

"W-who her?"

"Doctor Brennan." The psychologist's jaw dropped. His eyebrows raised almost to his hairline in shock.

"I'm s-sorry?"

"I am in love with Dr Brennan. That's why I failed to mention that I did not plunge the knife into the lobbyist's chest. The master told me that if I failed to help him then he would harm those that I loved. And there is no person that I love more then Dr Brennan. I fail to see why that is illogical." Lance glanced down at his notepad, then looked up again.

"Y-you are in l-love w-with D-Doctor B-Brennan?"

"Why are you stuttering?" The psychologist blushed slightly.

"I'm n-not!"

"Yes you are. Are you in love with her too?" Lance gave his patient an incredulous look.

"I have a g-girlfriend!" Zack cocked his head.

"Really?" Lance sighed, rubbing his forehead. Finally, he recovered his composure and continued,

"How long have you had this... c-crush on Dr. Brennan? I mean..." he twiddled his pencil. "She's nearly three years older then you, correct?"

"It's hard to explain... when I'm near her I feel... like everything is going to be just fine, even though I know, rationally, that it's statistically impossible." After a minute's silence, he raised his head again. "Is that the way you feel around your girlfriend?" Mental images of Daisy flashed through he psychiatrist's mind.

"Yes." he whispered. "Yes, that's exactly how I f-feel."
