AN: Dedicated to Kiera
Rachel walked down the hall alone. She kept looking behind her and around her as if afraid someone would see her. She walked straight into Finn. She mumbled an apology and tried to keep walking but Finn stopped her.
"Rachel, why do you let her do this to you? Live your own life, not Quinn's. Just because she says that you have to be with her at all times doesn't mean that you have to."
Finn ranted.
"RACHEL BARBARA BERRY! WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU ABOUT TALKING TO OTHER PEOPLE?" a voice screamed.
Finn looked up and saw Quinn storming toward them. Rachel winced and closed her eyes while hanging her head. Quinn stopped next to them. She glared at Finn and dragged Rachel down the hall, whispering furiously. Puck walked up to Finn who was standing next to the lockers. The bustle in the halls started up again.
"What's wrong with Rachel?" Puck asked.
Later on in Glee, Mr. Schue was asking about songs that they were working on.
"Rachel?" asked him.
She shook her head furiously and got into a staring match at the ground. Finn and Puck looked at each other. Rachel always had some song to sing.
"Anybody else? Mercedes? Kurt?," said Mr. Shue. "No? Okay. Our next project is duets. Pick your partners."
Finn immediately went and asked Rachel to be his partner and had almost succeeded
when Quinn grabbed Rachel by the arm and dragged her off. Rachel flashed him a smile that didn't quite meet her eyes. Finn pulled out his phone and began texting. He started a message to all of the other Glee clubbers except for Rachel and Quinn to meet at his house.
At 7 o'clock the doorbell started ringing. Finn let his friends to the basement and locked the door. Kurt was already there holding hands with Blaine. Finn started talking.
"Guys, something is really wrong with Rachel. She looks so depressed all of the time.
At this point Puck joined in.
"Does anybody know what's going on? She's quiet, she's always with Quinn and she doesn't act happy anymore."
Mercedes said, "Why should we care? It just means that we get more solos."
Kurt nodded his head in agreement. There were murmurs.
Tina said, "What's wrong with having Rachel quiet? Before Quinn, she was never quiet."
Santana said, "At least, now that she's with Quinn, she's not chasing our boyfriends. Face it, the world is better with Quinn and Rachel together."
Finn slammed his fist on the table.
"You don't get it. Sure, maybe Rachel shouldn't talk as much but it doesn't mean that she's better off like this. We're her friends; we should be there for her."
Kurt looked up from his phone. "I have to go. Blaine and I want to see the last showing of Breaking Dawn."
Blaine and Kurt left. People started making up excuses to leave. Brittany and Santana were the last to leave. At last, it was only Puck and Finn. Puck started pacing.
"Finn, we need to do something. We are the only ones who care."
"I know but what do we do. We can't talk to Rachel on her own. Quinn reads her email, her texts, her Facebook, and her Myspace."
Puck checked his watch. "Crap, I need to babysit Dani. Mom is on shift tonight. Bye."
Finn went back to his room lost in his thoughts. They needed to get Rachel away from Quinn.
