"Hey, George, have you seen Ron?" Ginny asked.
"No, I think that he's in his room. Why?" George asked.
"I need to send a letter and Mum just sent Errol out and Percy is using Hermes. I was wondering if I could use Pigwidgeon."
"Oh, who're you writing to?"
"Luna. I haven't seen her in ages so I wanted to see how she was."
"Well, check in his room. If he's not there, he might be playing quidditch with Harry in the garden. I can't think of any other place that he might be."
Ginny grinned. "I can."
Both of them said at the same time, "Snogging Hermione." Ever since the Battle of Hogwarts, whenever you couldn't find one them, you could usually find them snogging the other.
Laughing, Ginny replied, "Thanks George," and headed upstairs.
She knocked on Ron's door. "Ron, are you in there?" There was no reply. Shrugging, she let herself in and looked around. Figuring that he wouldn't mind if she borrowed Pigwidgeon without permission, Ginny was about to tie her letter to his leg, but something caught her eye. A book entitled Twelve Fail-Safe Ways to Charm Witches lay on the floor next to Ron's bed. It looked as though someone had merely tossed it aside, but it also looked as though it had been read many, many times. Snickering, Ginny picked up the book and started to read it.
Ron walked towards his room, but stopped when he heard uncontrollable giggling. He pulled out his wand and peeked through the crack in the door. Ginny was leaned up against his bed reading a book and laughing like she'd never read something funnier in her entire life.
"Um, Ginny? What are you doing in my room?" Ron asked as he walked into his room.
Ginny jumped to her feet and said, "Sorry, I was looking for you. I needed to borrow Pig and then I saw this book on the floor," she held up the book that she was reading and Ron realized what she was laughing at, "and I couldn't resist reading it."
"Oh, right."
Still giggling, she asked, "You don't take that seriously do you? I mean, you think that book is as much of a joke as I do right?"
"Oh, um, yeah," Ron said quickly which only made Ginny laugh even harder.
"Wait until Hermione sees this!" she shouted and was about to run out of the room with it, but Ron grabbed it out of her hands.
"NO! Borrow Pig and get out of my room."
"Fine," Ginny said still grinning. Once she'd tied the letter to Pigwidgeon's leg, let him out the window, and was halfway out the door, Ginny said to Ron, "I'm still going to tell her though!"
