Theme: Friendship
Fandom: Transformers (G1)
Pairing: (if you're really looking for one) Skyfire/Starscream.
Rating: G
Word Count: 364
Summary: He made a promise but can he keep it?
Authors Notes: Just a little drabble. Nothing more, nothing less. Takes place whenever Skyfire and Starscream first meet. I always picture Starscream as being a very young Mech, due to his nature in the cartoon. :/ So that's why he's appearing so young here. I might make a sequel some day to this.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but my imagination. Don't sue me.

"Is this going to hurt," the tiny seeker murmured as he glanced up at the white mech. He, in turn, peered down at the flier that sat upon the test table and frowned slightly. He often times forgot, barely out of the academy, that younglings were frequently frightened of what was going to happen to them while in this particular room. "Skyfire?"
"What kind of question is that," the shuttle replied carefully as he knelt down next to the table. He reached up and placed his hand on the head of his new companion, giving a small smile. "I don't see why you would be worried about such a thing."
"Who said I was worried," came his reply. He would have chuckled if it weren't for the pure look of determination on the young mech's face, barely older then a hatchling in his honest option. Although he was almost certain that the seeker wasn't that much younger then he, his youthful appearance probably from his body-type. "I just want to know."
The scientist responded curiously, "Why would I hurt?"
"I don't know," the little flier said all too quickly.
"I see," he paused and studied the slightly dented frame of the future jet. "I will not hurt you."
"Not even in the name of science?" Skyfire was slightly taken back by how small and weak the seeker's voice sounded. He pulled the slender mech towards him, staring down at the little one with a gentle smile.
"Your name, it's Starscream, correct?" The smaller flier nodded slowly, confirming what the shuttle vaguely remembered. He leaned over and rested his helm upon the other's, holding onto him in a protective fashion. He almost chuckled when he felt the uncomfortable fidget of the seeker, but hide his amusement well. "Favorably, Star, this won't hurt." He felt the flier still for a moment, then silence take over for a klik.
"Promise, Sky?" The scientist blinked rapidly then smiled at the uncreative but innocent, despite how annoying his new companion could be at times, the nickname he was given was. He was a bit surprised when the seeker continued, "Promise you will never hurt me?"
He smiled, "I promise."
