The Whole Package
Parker couldn't put her finger on just what it was she liked so much about him. There were numerous possibilities; he could be a rather likeable guy when he wanted to be. So it was that Parker found herself scribbling a list of Eliot's qualities around the edge of her paper instead of taking down the notes from the meeting with the landlord like she had promised Nate.
Tough guy (Rent to be raised in February) nice right hook, gutsy (Negotiated down – only slight threatening – by $300) creative weapons choices (will fix leak in Sophie's office) funny, witty, sense of humor (freezer fix is on us since it was Hardison's fault) sweet at the weirdest times, more honest than any of the rest of us combined
Her doodles of diamonds and money bands slowly became a man with long hair and soft eyes, blue and sparkling. His lips were quirked up in a small grin, quiet and intimate. Parker cordially hung up with the landlord, her mind elsewhere as her drawing stared off the page at her. Was it his job? His personality? His looks?
As she abandoned the page of doodles and notes on her messy desk, Parker thought maybe it was just the whole package.
