One Kiss Says It All
Harry looked around at his students, who were practicing different hexes, jinxes, and defense spells. He beamed with pride as he saw Neville successfully disarm Hermione and Hermione's patronus, which she had conjured moments before, circling the room. Today had been a review day for them all.
"All right, everyone, that's enough work for today," Harry said. He looked down at the Marauder's Map in his hand. At his signal, they exited the room in twos and threes.
When it was only Harry, Ron, Cho, and Hermione left in the room, Ron and Hermione decided it was best for them to leave.
Cho looked up from examining her hands and saw that she and Harry were the only ones left in the room. Upon making eye contact with his beautiful green eyes, tears welled up in her eyes and started to slowly fall down her soft cheeks.
She knew that he had a crush on her. He just had to. Why then would he stare at her all the time and why would he be acting so nervously around her? He did seem quite handsome though not as much as Cedric did.
At the though of Cedric, Cho's tears were renewed. Why did he have to die? I loved him so much. But now, Harry will have to replace him. I need someone to talk to and have fun with and go out with…like I did with Cedric. She thought.
Harry did not know what to do. What was he supposed to do? And why did she always end up crying every time he was with her? He saw her moving closer.
He stretched out his hand to touch her shoulder so as to tell her not to cry, but instead, his hand touched her cheek. Then with a loud sob, Cho gave Harry a hug and cried softly on his shoulder. Harry just stood there, not sure of what to do. He finally just let his hand pat her on the back.
"It's ok, Cho. It'll be alright. You don't have to cry. Please, don't cry," Harry felt stupid as he said those words. He wanted to do more than just comfort her with words and he didn't want to see her angelic face crying either. He wanted to kiss her and love her instead of Cedric, who was dead. That was the comfort he thought would be best for her. He was madly in love with Cho, but how was he going to tell her that?
When Cho had finished crying, she looked up into Harry's eyes. He saw that longing and depressed look in her eyes. He did the only thing he could think of doing at this moment. He leaned down and pressed his lips to Cho's. It was a magical moment for him; he was finally kissing the love of his life, Cho.
Cho put her arms around Harry's neck and pulled him closer toward her so she could kiss him better. This was just like old times with Cedric except it was with Harry this time. She felt Harry's hands go to her waist. They were so close together that she felt no one or thing could tear them apart.
After a few minutes, they pulled apart and Harry heard himself say, "I love you, Cho."
"I love you too, Harry."
They held on to each other for a little longer not wanting the moment to end, but finally, they had to go their separate ways to their dormitories. Harry checked his map one last time to make sure it was safe to go and left the Room of Requirement with a huge, pleased grin on his face.
He had never felt so elated in his entire life.
