"Agh! You…haven't seen the last of Dark…"
"…No, no no!" I rushed back home, seeing my parents…dead. Under a pile of wood, their bodies not moving, bloody sand beneath them, and their quills ripped to shreds…
"…Why…why, why, why…"
"Oh, stop bawling…we were better off alone, and you were always fond of running, weren't you, Starlight?"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" And with that, she reclined back into the very corners of my mind, as I fell down to the floor, and wept in sorrow…
A solitude life
Mere mountains and earth surround
Unshaken, rock hard
The echidna merely sighed, and looked at they sky as he sat on the Master Emerald. "…I may be stuck on this island…forever. I have no idea why I've been chosen to do this…or why I have to…I am but the last of my kind…I've got no one, and this is my duty…forever."
Alas, fate binds two
One lonesome, one unstable
They finally meet
"Oh, and over there? That's Knuckles." Amy pointed to the last of Sonic's friends, who was standing a ways away, next to the one named Shadow.
He was a red echidna with a half moon crescent on his chest. Looking closer, I realized that he had sharp spikes on his knuckles. Sporting black basketball shorts, and a red tee, I realized that he was quite handsome…
Darkness consumes light
Struggle of the heart's yearning
Darkness fades, light fades
I tried hard not to hurt him while Dark was pounding into my head…
"Forget him! What about…this?" She forced those gruesome images into my head, my parents, lying on the floor, and the Metarex…
"Give me that emerald, and we can kill them! Kill, massacre…the ones who killed your parents before you-"
"SHUT UP, DAMNIT!" And with that, all went dark…at least she wasn't in control…
Light's awakening
Still unshaken, rock steady
Loyal and mounted
"…Star? You're alright, right?" Knuckles was staring down at me as I awakened in my bed, thankfully with my original clothes on.
"I'm fine…more importantly, are you-"
"I'm fine." Looking at him, some scratches were on his chest, the echidna slowly backing away.
"You kept scratching me when I tried to get you here." The echidna chuckled as I rose from my blanket, his violet eyes practically drilling into me.
Light covers the earth
Shines on the earth, embracing
Earth softens slowly
I began to embrace the echidna, who suddenly began to blush as he returned the embrace, I slowly pecked the echidna as he rubbed my back slowly, a sole light coming from the window on us as we embraced, but I sighed as the echidna's stomach growled… "…C'mon…let's get something to eat." And with that, we walked outside, holding hands...
With light, there's darkness
With the earth, there's a sole sky
The sky shining light
"…Where do you want to eat?"
"Dunno…we'll find something, won't we?" The echidna nodded as we walked along the sidewalk, his eyes spotting a new cafe…
"Shall we?" I asked, the echidna nodding as we entered…
