The Doctor looks up with an expression of sheer innocence on his face as Rose storms into the control room, garbed only in two fluffy white towels. One is wound and tucked strategically around her skinny frame, so as to protect her modesty, and the other is wrapped in the cliché shape over her wet hair. The Doctor is struck by images of beehives and tries not to laugh. He doesn't dare; the fury in Rose's eyes is almost tangible.

"Do you mind not messing with the Tardis while I'm taking a shower?" she demands. "First, I get a blast of freezing cold water, then, it scalds me, and then, when I get out of the shower and leave the bathroom, I find myself in a corridor I have never seen before! I have spent the last fifteen minutes looking for my bedroom, and I ended up here! I still don't have a clue where my room is!"

The Doctor's eyes widen in grim realisation. He moves round to a different section of the console, keeping a safe distance from his fuming companion.

"Ah – right. Sorry!" he says quickly, scuttling around the mushroom-shaped console like a panic-stricken fiddler crab. He twiddles some dials, flips some switches and finally slaps his palm to the bell before him, hurriedly attempting to rectify the damage he has done before he is burned to death by the fire blazing in Rose's eyes.

"There we go. Good as new."

He grins at Rose, but hesitantly. She stomps from the room and pulls open the first door she finds. She sighs, half from relief and half from exasperation as her elusive bedroom is revealed.

"Thank you!" she yells pointedly as the door slams behind her.

Now in the proper room, Rose proceeds to towel her hair to a state of baffling fluffiness and dress herself. She vaguely notices that a new cuddly toy has appeared amongst the masses on her bed; doubtlessly the Tardis apologising on behalf of its pilot. She pulls on a battered pair of trainers and opens the door. Her face remains passive for a second as she is confronted with the same remote corridor she encountered earlier.

Her brows contract ever so slightly.

"DOCTOR!"
