"Yukari-san?"
The brunette looked up from the photo she was staring at to look at the blonde. It's been a little under a week since Aigis found her answer and that should mean that Yukari should be happy now too... so why wasn't she?
"Yes, Aigis?"
The Anti-Shadow weapon sat beside the girl on the couch they would soon have to leave behind along with everything else - being the last ones to leave as well - and tried to smile, but it didn't quite reach her sapphire blue eyes. Hesistating, she reached out and grasped the archer's left hand and squeezed in what she hoped was a reassuing manner. Surprised at the act, Yukari blinked at her.
In response to the unspoken question, Aigis leaned closer and hugged her gently, the smile never leaving her face.
"You can cry, Yukari-san... I will hold you until you cannot shed tears anymore..."
The brunette sniffed and relaxed in the blonde's embrace, burying her head into the strangely warm and comforting part of Aigis' neck as tears began to fall in freedom as she spoke in hushed whisper.
"A-Are you wa-water-proof, Aigis?"
The android chuckled and held her a bit thighter, trying to make her see that she isn't alone and that the blonde would never let her feel alone again. Feeling the archer now freely sob into her shoulder, the blonde nodded.
"I will always protect you, Yukari-san. That includes your tears so ... please... cry yourself out..."
The so that I will never have to see you cry again went away like a leaf carried by the wind but it didn't need to be said for Yukari to understand. She found that the two of them could now understand each other on a whole other level, an understanding that not even Mitsuru-senpai could share with her.
"Thank you..."
AN: Another couple that I'm slowly growing to like - let's face, the only two canon girls comforting each other post-The Answer/post-canon does seem like a nice notion... so yes, stay tuned for more! :)
