Death.

"Death" The word rolled off the dark mans tongue. He wasn't really thinking of what he was saying, but that was the word that came to mind as he continued to stare off at the ancient brick wall, dripping from the mist of the alleyway. The girl knew he wasn't going to say anything more on the subject. She slowly stepped towards the solemn man and draped her cold bare arms around his neck. The velvet caressed her bare skin, as she slowly moved forward pressing her body loosely to his backside.
"It wasn't your fault. There was nothing you could have
done." She whispered into his ear.
If only he could believe her.
She laid her head upon his shoulder and he turned his head slowly towards her. He could smell her sweet perfume wafting around him. True, he felt uncomfortable standing here, alone with his childhood friend, thinking thoughts he had never thought he would think about her.
Her eyes were such a deep and affectionate chocolate brown.
Her lips, so full and rich, he could almost taste them.
She looked into his emerald green eyes with love and something else that he could not so quickly define. They slowly moved towards each other and then their lips met.
How sweet her lips tasted. The two continued on her hands entangled in his wild black hair, and his slowly making their way down over her smooth womanly curves.
And he pulled himself back, knowing what he did was wrong.
She was not a solitary woman. No, another claimed her, his best friend. And in
the same, he was also claimed by his childhood love.
But how could he still be in love with one and yet still love another?
She looked at his back again. Now he stood as if in deep thought. They should not have kissed. They were both betrothed to another. They were both in the wrong.
She watched as he looked at her with pain in his eyes and turned, cape flying, and walked away only the sound of his heels clicking on the cobblestone path.
Soon afterwards she left in the opposite direction.

A/N: Fluff. Short fluff too. Why did I write this? Was there a point? No. I was just free writing. Review if you wish I don't really care. Do whatever you want.
Disclaimer: Although I did not use their names, Harry and Hermione belong to JK Rowling and publishing. Not mine. Although everything else written here is…hmmm…
