If Only Time Could Turn Back
Akira yelled for her Child to get away. She knew that she knew was outmatched and feared for Takumi's life.
Then that was it.
She saw it. Her Child was sliced in half.
That was it. Her last hope was gone. Akira knew Takumi was going to die.
Akira watched it all. Mai screaming on desperation and running towards her little, precious brother. The way that Takumi was pale and his body turned to green dust. How the two spent their very short last moments together.
And she could do nothing but lay on the ground in misery from her wounds.
After Takumi faded away, Mai started losing her sanity, taking it all out on the already (both physically and mentally) Mikoto.
Akira closed her eyes and rested her head on the unforgivable dirt.
Pain, guilt, anger, and regret filled her all at once.
The saddened ninja knew she was going to have to live with the burden of knowing she took Takumi's life.
Unlike Mai, she got to spend a moment with him to say goodbye in case anything happened.
"Well, aren't I lucky?" Akira thought bitterly.
Maybe, just maybe, under the deep surpression of her emotions, she had feelings for him.
Now she couldn't tell him. It was too late.
Akira wished she never got close to him. To let Takumi into her heart.
If only it was possible to go back in time...
Slowly Akira let slumber overpower her throbbing emotions.
Takumi was her last thought.
