Cards: A KagSess Drabble

AN: you know, i really do hate drabbles. they're so short and unfulfilling. but i had this on my comp. i started it ages ago and never got around to writing more. so i pulled it up last night and looked it over, tacked on an ending and voila! Sessha-chan's first drabble. now just let me go find my pills and i'll be on my way...
"I fail to understand the point to this exercise," Sesshoumaru said, frowning slightly.
Kagome sighed, "What's so hard to understand, Sesshoumaru? It's a card game. It's supposed to be fun," she asked.
"Fun..."
"Yes. Fun. As in 'enjoyable,'"
"...I see."
Kagome sighed again. "You said you'd do this with me, Sesshoumaru. Don't be difficult. I've explained the rules, they're really not that hard. I was playing this with Souta when he was learning his numbers,"
Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes at her and gave in. "Do..." he grimaced, "Do you have any threes?"
Kagome shook her head, "Go fish, Sesshoumaru,"
"You owe me, Woman," Sesshoumaru growled, plucking a card off the top of the pile. He smirked and put down a pair, his first.
"We'll see," Kagome smiled sweetly, "Winner gets the last box of Pocky,"
"Of course,"
The intensity doubled. Calculating glances were surreptitiously exchanged over their hands.
"Any fives?"
"Go Fish, Woman. Queens?"
Kagome handed over a card. "Sevens?" she asked.
Sesshoumaru handed over a card. They played back and forth, battling intensely. At last they were down to their last cards. Then, suddenly, the final count was being tallied. The winner was decided.
"Come on Sesshoumaru, you should know by now that you can't beat me when it comes to games like these," Kagome smiled, munching on her prize.
"You owe this Sesshoumaru, woman," Sesshoumaru said seriously.
"I hear you the first time," Kagome said, pushing a stick of Pocky into Sesshoumaru's mouth. The Taiyoukai growled at her but munched on the treat.
