So a song inspired me to write this. This is a simple one shot of when Alistair finally dies he gets to see Irina again. Remember in the last book of Cahill vs. Vespers Amy "dies" and we see a lot of the dead characters including Alistair, grace, hope, ext. I was mad because they didn't mention Irina at ALL. So this is my version of heaven with Irina and Alistair meeting again 3
Alistair started shaking, he was having a seizure. Suddenly...all was still. Alistair was gone, dead. But yet..he didn't feel dead. He knew he was but it didn't make any sense. He was still standing in that dreaded room, watching them all start to cry. He wanted to cry out and tell them he was fine, he was right there! But he knew it wasn't true, he was gone and there was no comforting the living.
A tender hand was placed on his shoulder "Its time to go Alistair" a soft voice said. He turned around and no one was there but he knew that he had to leave. He had to go, maybe all he had ever lost would be waiting. He smiled softly "I'm coming, just one more moment" He murmured softly as he walked over and watched Reagan crying. They use to hate each other but now she was crying the hardest.
He placed a gently ghostly hand on her shoulder and murmured "Be at peace child I am fine". Reagan sniffed but stopped crying. Alistair smiled softly "I wish you all well" He said softly as not to disturb his new found peace. He closed his eyes and willed himself to be with those he loved and had lost. He felt a small rush of cold air and then warmth.
With his eyes still closed strong arms wrapped around him "Welcome home Alistair" A strong and familiar voice said. Alistair opened his honey brown eyes to look at his beloved cousin. "Grace..." he whispered. She smiled brightly at him "Hello Alistair" She said softly and gestured around her "We're all here". Alistair looked around and saw everyone he had ever lost.
Among those people where his parents, Hope and Arthur, friends but most importantly...Irina. She stood at the back of the small crowd. She was smiling and had a small little boy at her right side holding her hand. He slowly walked up to her and whispered "Irina...I'm sorry...I failed you" Irina simply chuckled and said brightly "No you didn't!". He gaped at her.
She then stepped forward and hugged him "You didn't fail me ever. You where always by my side supporting me. When I lost this little boy" She paused and ruffled the child's hair "You where there for me. You showed me what I needed to be shown and now I realize how wrong I was for pushing you away." She said softly. He simply stared at her "But..." He said and trailed off when Irina put a finger to his lips. "No butts. Now is a time of no regrets. Only peace" She murmured softly, comfortingly"
He nodded slowly "Welcome home by the way" Irina said with a chuckle and walked off a bit "Enjoy your time with your close family for now" and he was surrounded in seconds by everyone that loved him and that he had ever loved in his life. He smiled "Maybe dying wasn't the worst that could've ever happened to me" He said with a laugh and went to talk to all his dead family and friends.
Well that was interesting I suppose. -shrugs- I've been obsessed with death lately if you can't tell. Oh well! Leave a favorite and a review if you like this! Also leave request for stories in the comments and I might make you a story based on you're idea!
