Sixth year, Lilly Evans, walked through the train with two cans of muggle pop and a well hidden smirk. She had been planning this all summer, after James and Sirius had put an invisibility charm on her luggage right before it was time to leave for the train and watched her freak out until Remus showed up and changed it back.
She finally found the compartment that the Marauders where sitting in, James and Remus on one side and Sirius and peter on the other. They were all laughing about something one of them had said and didn't notice Lilly watching from the corridor. She took a deep breath and tried to look as innocent as possible. She knew Remus and Peter would know what she was trying to do but she hoped they wouldn't ruin it for her.
She knocked on the door and watched as all four looked up, all with surprise evident on their faces. James was the first to jump out of his seat and rush to open the door.
"Hey Lils, I knew you would come find he eventually." He said arrogantly, striking a pose. Lilly fought off the urge to either punch James or snap at him; instead she just smiled and held out one of the cans.
James looked between the can and Lily with confusion and it made lily want to snicker, James always seemed to know exactly what was happening and never missed a beat, but now he looked lost.
"Uh, what's this?" he questioned.
"I piece offering, I figure, It's out sixth year and this little game is getting a bit old so I came to offer you and Sirius a trues." She smiled looking over to Sirius who had stud up and began to walk over. She held out the other can.
"Oh, uh. Okay, do you want to come in?" he asked awkwardly taking the can and stepping out of the way. Sirius followed his lead and Lily walked in. Remus gave her a questioning look but she said nothing.
Sirius inspected the can, "What is this?" He asked looking at Lily.
"Its muggle pop, its like butter beer, but before you open it, you have to shake it really well or else the flavoring doesn't mix and it just tastes like water." She said as if it was the most normal thing. James and Sirius exchanged looks and Remus sent lily and knowing glance but said nothing. Peter looked as if he was going to say something but Lilly sent him a look and he closed his mouth.
"Okay, well thanks Lils." James said as he began to shake the pop intently, Sirius watched James then followed his lead. They both stopped shaking the cans and looked down at it. "Now how do you open it?"
"You just pull the big side of the tab up fast and it will open." Remus said. Lily almost lost it then, she had gotten Remus in on it, this was better than she could have imagined.
James and Sirius opened their cans in sync and the reaction was instantaneous, the liquid came shooting out and right onto both boys' faces. They both pulled their heads back but it was too late, both where covered in the sticky soda and Lily, Remus, and Peter where all laughing so hard that Peter ha fallen off his seat, Lily was bent over clutching the bag rack and holding her side and Remus was wiping tears from his eyes.
When James and Sirius realized what had happened, at first all they did was stare in disbelief that Lily Evans, sweet, genital, kind, Lily Evans had pranked them, James and Sirius, the biggest pranksters in Hogwards currently. Then James began to laugh, it was louder than all three combined and he barely got out he words "Oh my gosh Lily. I knew there was a reason you came to our compartment."
