Ugh. I am a horrible author. I apologize for writer's block on my other story Tragedy of Red and the Wolf. Promise I will continue that... ^_^;;

I have been reading many RinxLen fanfictions and decided I should make one of my own.

I am sorry for any jumps in the story/errors/confusions.

I will try to fix them as soon as I can.

So without further adieu...Here is Best Friend.

Chapter 1: First Day of School

Len POV

The first thing I hear in the morning is not my alarm.

Oh no. It is forbidden by the universe that I be woken up in a semi-peaceful way on the first day of school.

Apparently the universe and Kami-sama decide to be cruel and wake me up by the one and only-Rin Kagami. I wake up to hear her beautiful voice producing a yell that could have woken up the dead (aka me.)

"LEN! GUESSWHAT? GUESSWHAT?! FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!"

I groaned and turned away from the sound.

"OH NO YOU DON'T LEN-LEN. WAKE. UP."

She rips my yellow covers off of me and suddenly, I was assaulted with cold air.

"Uuuuggghhhhh...what time is it...?" I moan turning around to face her.

Her face is completely red with her jaw dropped and her arms slack at her sides. She stared at me for a few seconds, and after realizing she was staring, and turned away from me with her face in her hands.

"P-P-PUT SOME CLOTHES ON BAKA!" She screeched.

I looked down at myself and became a tomato.

I was wearing a tshirt and my favorite pair of boxers-the blue ones with bananas all over them.

"WAH WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ANYTHING RIN!" I yelled, looking all over the room for my yellow skinny jeans.

"BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW BAKA! NEXT TIME SLEEP WITH PROPER CLOTHES ON!"

"NEXT TIME?!" Don't tell me...this is going to become a regular event in my day?

"YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!" She yelled and ran out of my room.

I found my yellow jeans, and took out my orange phone and checked the time.

SHIT. IT WAS 7:47 ALREADY! THE BUS COMES AT 8!

I ran to the bathroom as fast as I could, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair (Shutup. Don't judge me.) and put it in a ponytail.

I ran out of my room and almost plowed Rin over.

She was eating an orange and had a banana in her other hand.

When she saw me, she turned red.

"Hey, Rin, are you ok? You're not sick right?" I came closer to her to check her temperature, but she smacked me away and showed the banana in my face.

"J-j-just take the banana. We have to go."

"Right. Yeah. Bus...let's go!"

I took her hand and started to run.

Rin POV

OH KAMI. HE'S HOLDING MY HAND! Was the only thought in my head as we sped toward the bus stop.

I didn't stop thinking those words until I heard Len curse.

Len cursing is NOT a everyday thing. That means things have gotten really bad. Or as I say "shit just got real."

"Shit." He mumbled breathlessly.

I followed his stare to the bus that was currently leaving.

"WAHHH!" Len ran after the bus in vain while I just stood there catching my breath.

"BAKA! WHY DID YOU JUT STAND THERE WHILE I CHASED AFTER THE BUS!"

Don't tell me he forgot.

"I...*wheeze* am...*wheeze* out...*wheeze* of...*wheeze* breath..."

"Oh. Ohyeah. Asthma. Riiiigghhht."

He stood there while I was hacking and wheezing away.

"Well are you done?"

I made a face that said "does it look like I am?"

"Sorry. I was going to ask if you are ok but wanted to wait until you were done. I guess I don't have to ask if you are ok now."

I glared daggers as my coughing fit diminished and asked,

"Now what? Are we just going to stand here and miss school?"

"Nope. I have an idea. Wait here."

Len then turns and runs into a two story building with bread on display and a balcony from the second story window.

He walks out of the house pulling something at his side.

"Now this.." He gestures to the bike. "Is how we were going to get to school."
