This is my first ever one-shot fic so please don't go out and just flame me. Now I don't mind constructive criticism, I would actually want you to say something…anything to make me a better writer is good with me. I hope you all enjoy the fic!

A Memory Away

It was a bitter cold night. Not that it really mattered to him; the cold never seemed to bother Axel. He looked up at the stars that sparkled ever so brightly in the night sky. At that moment he thought about the past, the memories just made him feel lonely. So much time has past since he last saw lay eyes on the one he loved. It's been to long since the last time their lips met. "How could I go living like this?" he sighed. He looked down to the ground and saw a shattered photo of them together. He picked it up and held it close to where his heart is supposed to be. "They always said that Nobodies don't have hearts. Then can they explain to me why I feel so much pain right now?" he asked himself that question everyday but never got a answer. The memory of the last time he saw his true love popped into his head.

Memory Starts

It was pouring outside; the rain hit loudly on the windows. Axel looked at the rain partly flooding the streets through his window. Footsteps were heard in the background. "Hey! How are you doing up here all alone?" a cloaked man said. "I'm alright, it was getting to noisy down there anyways" Axel replied. "Zexion…sometimes it seems like you're the only one who knows how to shut up" he smirked. Zexion stepped a little closer to Axel "Hey…maybe that's why you love me," he then grabbed him and gave him a nice long kiss that he was sure he was never going to forget. Axel blushed, he cheeks became bright red.

Afterwards it became silent for a few minutes and Zexion began to feel uneasy. Axel noticed it right away. "What's wrong?" he asked. Zexion hesitated at first but he knew Axel needed to know. "Well…you see…the reason I came up here was to tell you that I was assigned to go after that Riku kid and kill him" he spoke soft and slowly. A bit of fear crept up inside of Axel "They are sending you after him again? Are you sure you're going to be alright this time? He seems a lot stronger then we all think," he said all worried. "Ha-ha don't worry Axel" Zexion laughed "I'll be fine, I just won't be around for a little while."

Sadness filled up the both of them, they hated being apart. "I'm going to miss you" they said in sync. They both smiled and hugged each other. "I promise I'll come back…So don't get all worried about it," after he was done speaking he started to walk away, he couldn't face Axel like this because inside he was a little scared too. He then felt something tug at his arm and then Axel's warm lips were pressed against his. "Now go get him Tiger!" Axel laughed and then slapped Zexion's ass. Zexion blushed madly as he headed for the door.

Memory Ends

Axel sighed, he wondered if he was ever going to see Zexion again. It's been a few months now and he still has not returned. "He promised he would come back…he has to come back" Axel kept telling himself that. He looked out the window like he had on that rainy night but Zexion did not come this time. Axel felt the feeling of pure loneliness and unhappiness. He waited and waited but his lover never came. "Will I ever see him again? He asked again. He sat on the cold hard floor and continued to wait…never knowing that his one true was never coming back.
