Notes: Just a one-shot, but may make sequel if prodded. I realized, Souta & Natsuki's pasts are similar. Natsuki (at the time I wrote this) doesn't remember much about her past, and when Souta was a spy, he had to cut all ties to his past. Reviews are love!
Sometimes he wonders how she's able to get through the day. She has no idea who she is, or what her life was like before Masumi found her. It must be tough, not being able to remember anything.
Even though it looked bad when she was talking to one of the Negative, he can't blame her for trying. All she wants to do is know who she is, and if she belongs to a family.
Then, her "little sister" showed up, and turned Natsuki against them. Again, he can't be too angry with her. Natsuki wants to be part of a family, and here's this girl, calling Natsuki "onee-chan". Too bad that she turned out to be a monster. He knows how hurt Natsuki had to have been, because she hates being used.
He thinks she's amazing. When he saved her on the first mission, and her devotion to her friends. He doesn't know how she gets through all the time. He knows how it feels too. When he became a spy, he had to eliminate all the ties with his family. His mother, his father. His little sister, Mika. It was so hard to leave her forever. He wanted to be there to protect her, but he can't. Sometimes he almost loses control, because he's so overwhelmed by not being able to have any contact with his family.
But the important thing is that he knows how she's feeling. So maybe he can help her to be stronger. That's why he admires her so much. Maybe, someday, she'll look at him and see someone she can go to when she's sad. Until then, he'll just keeping until they're both ready to take that risk. And he's willing to wait forever for her.
