Kiba stared around at the city, where was the dome? Had he really wanted to do away with the domes in his Paradise? And where was Cheza? She was supposed to be with him, she had said they would be apart but he hadn't thought she'd meant they'd be apart in Paradise.
Suddenly his nose caught a scent. A very familiar scent. He almost choked as he said the name that went with the scent. "Ch-Cheza." He began to run.
He ran past other wolves not even trying to know them or recognize them although he suspected he should have. One was still a young mutt, it had a silver bracelet encircling one paw, and was playing with a kitten of all the ridiculous things. Why would a wolf bother playing with a kitten? They were completely different species and it wasn't worth it trying to mix. Another was lounging around having just finished snarfing down a hot dog by the smell.
Where was Cheza?
Eventually he slowed, walking glumly past another wolf dressed in leather. He felt like howling to the moon in his anguish. He missed Cheza and her scent continued to tease him leading him through the unfamiliar streets that were so like a maze.
How could this be his Paradise? It seemed almost worst than before.
He stopped before a store of some kind. Her scent came strongest from in there. He stood for a moment simply sniffing the air and hoping the scent would not disappear. Slowly he made his way towards the door and had stepped into the space of the window. Kiba's heart began to pound. It was her, she was wearing the jacket and boots they'd given her so long ago. She looked just the same with her red eyes and purple hair. His flower was waiting for him and all that stood between them was a pane of glass.
He stepped up to the window and pressed his hand to the glass. "Cheza," He whispered.
Cheza smiled and pressed her hand to the glass to meet his. "This one has waited patiently. This one has been rewarded for her patience. This one can be with you now."
