I woke up with my alarm ringing in my ear; I heard the shower being put on the coffee machine gurgling to life and the claws of a canine friend padding to the door. I heard a clunk as what sounded like a milk bottle was gently dropped on to the table and left there. I sunk further under the sheets hoping my friend would not notice instead stead pongo my dog leaped onto the bed and started licking me I was startled awake by the wet, rough tongue swept its way along my check and repeatedly met my eye. He soon gave up and jumped off the bed and pulled the duvet onto the floor. I was pulled onto the floor and then I was awake for sure. I got up and made my way into the bathroom and got into the shower I got out again put two slices of toast into the toaster and some coffee and dog food out for pongo.
